Guyz i got two requests

1)was wondering if there is a manga where the protagonist is the last of his kind or atleast one of the very few of his race/kind etc. for example goku is one of the few saiyans left ahaha but donot suggest mangas that are as childish as dragonballz great though it was, i am wayy too old for that kinda stuff now. Would prefer something more serious and as little comedy as possible. Gore, violence everything acceptable. Protagonist has to be male and please donot suggest mangas where the protagonist's lover has died and he is all angsty and stuff because of that. I think protagonists with angsty pasts are awesome but hate it when it concerns a dead lover. romance is preferable though just not a past love. Oh by the way no vampires or werewolves also. I am really picky these dayzz sorry. something original is preferable. Either a manga or anime, both acceptable. seinen is preferable. no yaoi, shounen ai please.

An anime that i watch that had something like that was "heroic age".

2) My second request is for a good action anime with hints of romance and a good plot that is preferably not based on a manga since chances are i have already read that. I have already watched the following animes

darker than black and its sequel(one of the best animes for me....not da sequel though)
Mobile suit gundam seed and its sequel
phantom--requim of phantom(one of the worst endingz eva for me)
xam'd:lost memories
shakugan no shana
elfen lied
gungrave
canaan
higashi no eden
casshern sins
chrome shelled regios
speed grapher
wolf's rain
seirei no moribito
bakemonogatari
code geass and its sequel
death note

Manga:
Shin Angyo Onshi

Anime:
Sword of the Stranger

Both of these are very good, and seem to be what you are looking for. Hopefully they are helpful. :3

Even though this is in your request I'm still going to suggest Wolf Guy - Ookami no Monshou. I'd wager that the awesomeness of the manga will more than make up for him being a werewolf.

@darknova42-- i have read that manga and didn't really like it. Might start again if you are that confident about it being awesome.

I liked how even though the protagonist is strong he doesn't initiate conflict but is instead dragged into it. Also, hes indifferent to those around him.

Unlike most seinen/shounen where the strong guy gets pissed and starts shit because someone innocent(friend or not) gets hurt.

I also like how the delinquent students are more savage than he is even though hes pretty much part animal himself.

Manga
ES
Pet shop of horrors
Shounen Mahoushi - Not reaslly last of their kind but more only ones of their kind.
Akusaga - maybe.
07 Ghost - Not sure about this one but thought I'd throw it out there. More comical than the others.
Chronicles of the cursed sword - Again a little more comical but also quite violent so you might like it.
Apothecarius Argentum - not the last of his kind but rare enough.

Anime
Try the macross series. Personally I prefer the first series which is The Super dimensional Fortress Macross and last series , Macross Frontier. You really need to watch the first series since it lays the foundation for later series but this does mean putting up with 1980s style. It is worth it though.
Series timeline is found here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Macross#Series_chronology if you want to check it out.

Hope this helps.

For manga the only one that i remember is Eat-man, not that he is the last of his kind but an one of a kind.

For anime there is Black Lagoon, Cowboy Bebop, Fate/Stay Night, Juuni Kokuki, Kaze no Stigma, Ghost in the Shell: SAC, Pumpkin Scissors and Shingetsutan Tsukihime that I remember.
