I'm looking for manga where the protagonist and their romantic interest are forced apart by their families due to whatever circumstances.

Lady Mitsuko - Gorgeous, and based on a true story.
Bronze no Tenshi - Pushkin has no family here, but Natalia's mother is dead-set against their relationship at first.
Suna no Shiro, in the first arc. But you won't like this one unless you can handle seriously ridiculous tragedy. (I personally adore it.)
And if you can stomach that, you can stomach Shiroi Heya no Futari. It doesn't quite fit your description because families are all but completely absent here, but the Romeo and Juliet allegory is used quite heavily.

Some I've yet to read:
Koishi Uru Kagiri Koise
Tomoe ga Yuku! - Romeo and Juliet allegory of the West Side Story type.

Also, using "their" as a third person gender-nonspecific pronoun! I approve! biggrin

My personal recommendation of course. THIS made me bawl like a baby by the end. 1999 Shanghai It is very old, yes. I am aware of that, but don't let the art stop you from reading this Romeo and Juliet-esque yaoi.
