Recently I've taken a new interest in Shounen Ai/Yaoi after reading ''Seven Days'' and then ''Gimmick'', and story 6 in ''Donuts Tsuushin''....I want to know whether there are similar ones to these, it's a recurring pattern that I like two friends who were initially straight and then through closeness formed a romantic relationship, like gender means nothing to them and they care more about the person instead, which I find really sweet, btw I don't want any small boys, nor smallxbig, I want them to be the same age, still in school - like friendships in high school sort of

also, I've read ALL of Yumeka Sumomo's works(her depiction of BL is adorable and realistic, a bonus if the shounen ai/yaoi is like hers), so please don't recommend them to me.

Perfect example of this is probably Itaike na Bokura (chapters 5-6) and its sequels. I really recommend this one. <3

Others: (Not sure about the gender part since they were straight to begin with so...yeah- Misunderstandings~)
Rinjin wo Aisou
Little Butterfly: Recommended~!
Okujou Fuukei

There's more...but I can't remember any. ._. >-<

Bokura ni Matsuwaru Etcetera if I recall correctly might be what you are looking for, though I haven't read it in a while, it actually took me a while to find it since I couldn't remember the title. none

And ch4-5 of Sugar Milk reaches most of the criteria, but they are only in high school in part of it

Cheers for all the suggestions!! I've found some new ones never seen before. About Little Butterfly, one of the boys looks considerably younger - like a shota...but I'll give it a go.
I hope there's more recs after this - i'm getting greedy lol.

Komahoshi is a must read, and pretty much suits your criteria. It's long, but absolutely worth the read.

Maybe also Golden Days. It's really subtle, and doesn't take place at a high school but it is all the other things you required.

thanks for Komahoshi - it's got some raving reviews, so i'll be sure to read this.

I tried Golden Days but I remember being put-off by something..I'll give it a second go since that was 2-3 years back.
