Honestly I kind of find this ridiculous. I mean, it's not illegal and it's not like they can really prevent the site and groups from operating. These groups consist of member all over the world, if they shut a site down it will just show up again under a new name.

For anyone thinking that it is illegal, take a look at this.

http://assembler.law.cornell.edu/uscode/html/uscode18/usc_sec _18_00002256----000-.html

Read in particular the last part (11)

So, I really don't see why they are making such a fuss.

It's not that it's illegal according to US laws but that it's google's policy.

I don't mind, if lolicon and shotacon are being removed, but i can't understand why they remove some mangas, which don't have content concerning lolicon and shotacon..that's just ridiculous.
In over 70% of the mangas, there are minors playing a role in a romantic way..
Do the law honestly want to ban the whole manga industry?
Do the law want to have more unemployed humans/mangakas?
Manga is already a major industry..no, even a global one!!!
i just can't understand what the law/govermant is thinking? bulls***!?

This is totally ridiculous. I really don't get what some people are thinking when they did something like this. Sure, I understand the concerns that parents may have with their children reading such materials.. But if that's the case, why only target mangas? There are paintings preserved in museums that depicts beastiality, pedophilia and underaged sex. Just go wikipedia and look under Greek mythology. Why don't the government just destroy those artworks and statues as well if they are that determined to ban everything related to loli and shota? xP

i agree.. why not bust those artworks and statues that are related to these issues?
and don't tell me that those Adsense et al will tell other sites e.g. wikipedia, brittanica ency, etc to remove info regarding series that has the affected genre?

wha- O__O?! Did this just happen today?
even kaichou wa maid sama...that just come down to ridiculous. Maybe it was removed because it had been licensed? Though that doesn't seems right considering other licensed manga are still there.
I'm shocked, shocked...

I heard it was't remove is a problem with the system or something

Not to go too off topic, but I've been meaning to buy Kodomo no Jikan for a while now...would it be an unwise move to import it amidst this fuss? I just want to support Ms Watashiya...I like her works, not because I'm a pedo >.<

I actually spoke to the customs office regarding some similar questions and was basically told that they don't really care. If you're worried about it being held at customs due to content, that probably won't happen.

I have books shipped in 4-8x a month from Japan and most of them have some pretty harsh materials.. even the boxes that have obviously been stopped by customs still have all of the content and aren't held. I would venture to say that if you order your book, there shouldn't be any issue with receiving it.

Back on topic a bit..

I really wish that these activists and closed-minded gits would stop and THINK. Japan has some of the lowest rape, molestation, etc. percentages in all of the world. However, none of these idiots stop to wonder why. If a person is able to fulfill that need via a manga or gaming, then wouldn't it be better to make these titles EASIER to find? If shotacons and lolicons were able to easily find these titles and get the much needed release.. it's highly likely that the actual "acts" that these types of people commit, would dwindle in number.

I'm not saying that manga is the end-all to this stuff, but I personally see it as a great preventative measure that might possibly curb future acts of violence.

We should as a group fight it.

Make posts directly to google

Content Guidelines
Publishers may not place AdSense code on pages with content that violates any of our content guidelines.
Some examples include content that is adult, violent or advocating racial intolerance.

Ok so nobody is allowed to show adult, violent, racism on the sites.

If they are removing anime and manga for those reasons, then they should also remove everything else that is a violation of the TOA.

Think about all the news, tv shows, movies, games, sports, books, magazines, comics, art, etc that contain violence, adult situations, racism, drugs, alcohol, pedophilia, incest, sexual situations, etc.

What are they going to attack next?
Family Guy for beastiality, pedophilia, racism, drugs, alcohol, sexual situations, adult situations, violence, etc.
The Simpsons for alcohol, sexual situations, adult situations, violence.
South Park for violence, pedophilia, adult situations, sexual situations, language.
Looney Tunes for racism, violence, alcohol.
YouTube for violence, adult situations and language.
The NEWS is full of violence and adult situations.
Disney fpr violence and racism.
Oh and let's not forget...The Bible, Torah, and Koran for rape, violence, incest, animal torture (sacrifices), human torture, prostitution, genocide, infanticide, racism, and pedophilia (age of consent was under 13).
/sarcasm
Wonder when they are going to remove all mentions of those biblical versus from the internet.
/end sarcasm

I have been reading this kind of topics and i thinks that the only way we have to fix their brains is to appeal to count for insulting us by calling us rapists and staff. They wont care for words but if we strike their money they may just get it.
No point in speaking with fanatics.
