I love me a well-done sadist. Someone conniving and calculating, whose only pleasure is inflicting pain. Someone too violent and insane to leave even the slightest vestige of sympathy.

And I also hate gore. This doesn't bode well for my reading choices.

So I'm looking for a manga with a really sadistic, mentally instable character that doesn't chop up or kill the people he or she abuses. Any other kind of physical or psychological abuse is fine, except for females being sexually abused by males (yeah, totally a double-standard, but my squicks are my squicks). I'm looking for dark stuff right now, the darker the better, not light comedies with sexually sadistic characters like Yoru Made Matenai (those honestly freak me out a little).

The perfect example is the princess in the final chapter of the first volume of The Tarot Cafe, who enjoys literally nothing but torturing her "living dolls". (I didn't like the second chapter of her story as much, because it gets a lot bloodier.) Perfect character, perfect atmosphere, gorgeous art. Also nice is Seifreit from Thomas no Shinzou, who is a hedonist and a Satanist and sexually abuses for the fun of it, but he isn't present in the story for long. His counterpart in Kaze to Ki no Uta, Auguste, has the right demeanor, but he isn't really a sadist - just amoral to the extreme. Zion no Koeda and its related oneshot Netsu no Ori also suit.

Something that doesn't suit is Nana to Kaoru. This is a (pretty much) consensual BDSM relationship between two relatively stable individuals, not a lunatic hurting people for fun. Besides, I hate it. I don't want any sleazebag male leads or horrifyingly squishy boobs, please.
Hoozuki-san Chi no Aneki doesn't fit, either. I do kind of like this series, but despite the classification that sister is hardly a sadist - she's just a bully that is slightly more sexually charged than most. She doesn't even hurt her brother; she just makes him feel all awkward.

I read all genres and demographics. Even ecchi is fine with me here, as long as the art style isn't all squishy and moe.
