Hi people,
I am looking for an author whose works I have read a couple of years back.
Her stories are mostly short stories with a twist at the end, which are also mostly pretty psycotic.
A couple of stories were published in the US in serveral anthologies.
Please help!

Aye, thats extreamly vague. You could look at the list of authors, but theres so many you would really have to be more specific.
Shujou Authors: http://www.mangaupdates.com/authors.html?genre=Shoujo Josei Authors: http://www.mangaupdates.com/authors.html?genre=Josei

Ermmmm... I think everyone would be able to help you if you could give a better description of the stories. Like: what were they about? And also, about the style of art... do you recall it?
That's 'cos... even if say... the mangaka isn't shoujo/josei but some other genre, that's still a lot of stories.

Will throw some guesses...
MIHARA Mitsukazu? FUJIWARA Kaoru? - doubt it though. Nakamura Asumiko?

I'm guessing Mihara Mitsukazu, too. She's one of the few more experimental authors who are widely published in English, and "psychotic" is definitely a good way to describe her stories.

sorry for being vague... its been just so long :/
one story I remember was about a couple of people (or maybe just one guy...) that spent their vacation in a house somewhere in the woods. Then they get a suprise visit from some girl which later one kills the guy/people that are on vacation.....
What I remember though:
- the author has been publizised in the US BEFORE the US manga craze (1999-2003) in manga short story collections (probably by either viz or dark horse). - she was once featured in a german magazine called Animania (which I originally knew her from) - I only know about short storys, I do not know whether she had a series.
I hope that somehow helps... thanks for the suggestions up till now ( those mangaka seem to be interesting too )

I doubt it is him but maybe Itou Junji? Most unexpectedly not since it's a guy, not a female.

You mean with short stories one chapter oneshots, right? I'm reading the Animania, do you remember which issue you read an article about her? and do you know if that manga was published in Germany?

The time in which I read the Animania was from 98 until 2003. I sadly dont remember the exact issue the article ran in ......
And no, to my knowledge ther is/was no publication of this author in germany...
Thanks!

Sounds like Love Song by NISHI Keiko. I haven't read it myself, but I found a review that fits your description.
And maybe this is the german magazine you mentioned ? http://www.hood.de/auction/32235707/anime-animania-5-2000-37- manga-keiko-nishi-hyperd.htm

:-O! You got me thinking Nishi Keiko wrote yaoi there! Gah, I was all excited. And yes, after reading your synopsis I'm pretty sure Love Song (NISHI Keiko) is the one. That story is atypical of Nishi's usual work, though. She often uses surprise endings, but very rarely "psychotic" ones.
