lol, sight...seems like some peoples' desire for manga is so great they wouldn't mind losing their vision.....I chose smell personally, when I get a blocked nose, I usually can't smell anything anyway though smell does affect taste, hmmm.....

All of the 5 senses are important. Really, the idea of having to lose one of them gives me goose bumps(LOL). I'm too afraid to even vote for this pole. I lost the hearing ability of my left ear due to middle ear infection, and it has caused a lot troubles to my life. People should treasure their senses more.
Please ignore my blabbering above, because in the end I still choose Taste(ROFL). Don't know why though . Somehow it sounds quite useless to me.

I chose "sight", but I couldn't quite decide between sight and touch. I mean, I heard that blind people manage quite ok, but have you ever had your legs go dead? I really hate that! Or waking up and having no feeling in my arm. That's scary. Also you wouldn't notice if you've hurt yourself. So I think "sight" was the right decision.

About the other three: I love eating! So don't you dare take my taste away! It's the same with smelling. I wouldn't have thought that so many people chose "smell". Smelling is very essential for me. For example the smell of good food when you're reeeaaallyyy hungry. ^^ The smell of rain, too ...

And hearing! That'd be the worst. I had blocked ears once. It was sooo bad! Drove me crazy ...

So I think it's "sight" after all. I agree, though, that it'd be bad not to read manga anymore.

For most of the people picking smell, you do realize that smell is also the majority of taste, right? Taste itself is just sweet/bitter/sour/salty. Everything else you get when you eat something is actually your nose smelling the food.

Gack! Trying to decide an answer for this poll really made me realize how much we ought to treasure our senses, hahaa! I really, really, really didn't want to choose anything... but that's the whole point of the poll, isn't it? I ended up choosing the sense of touch, because I simply couldn't bear the thought of parting with the other senses, lol. Sight and hearing seemed out of the question for me, as we depend upon them so much in our daily life. That left the last three... but thinking about it, I get an incredible amount of enjoyment from smelling and tasting, haha. As for touch... well, it's nice to have, and I suppose pain sensors help us a lot when we get hurt or sick, not to mention it's sometimes nice feeling fabrics and other stuffs just for the heck of feeling them, but I didn't really hold that as dear to myself. Am I missing something here? TOUCH seemed really important to me when I first read the poll... but ehh. So there I had it~ end; fin.Hopefully I'd never actually have to make this choice IRL, though... pwah.

This, I can't really smell anything half the time and apparently shrimp has a smell as someone told me yesterday. I had no clue...
