Oh, I was confused cause you said "if he can get in his good form" and I hadn't heard anything about ronaldinho's being in bad shape recently.

Dunno how's he doing nowadays. My knowledge of football is limited to only what's strictly necessary for me to survive a polite conversation with someone in Brazil. I find the sport kinda boring actually.

. . . as will Argentina and Brazil, Maradona and Dunga are utter complete idiots. . . I like Dunga's ideas to some extent but why didn't he bring along Pato etc. etc. Maradona. . . Not bringing along Cambiasso. . . maybe the best central midfielder in the world right now. . . stupid idiot

What can you expect from someone who summoned a hundred players... I doubt he actually knows what is he doing :\. In front of the strong teams, we did almost nothing.
Our game level was so low lately that I don't even dare to vote for my country -.- (Argentina)...

yeah and it's a shame. . . Argentina has such beautiful potential with def midfielders like Cambiasso, Gago, Mascherano, perhaps Zanetti (?) well, Mascherano made it but with players like this I don't get why Argentina doesn't play with two defensive midfielders, especially since the defense isn't the best part of the team. . .

on another note. . . it really brakes my heart that Zanetti wasn't chosen T-T

Amazing players that he left outside of the list, except Mascherano. Anyway, I don't disagree with the official list. The middle field is quite good... The only one I really don't like is Heinze. :\
Yeah, the defense is TOO weak, but this is happening since long, so I don't this is going to change soon. It's almost like xD our style.

Not having Riquelme there breaks mine... Though I know almost everyone hates him.

yeah, but that Riquelme wasn't gonna make it was no surprise. . . I mean, he and Maradona has their history, otherwise I agree, he's the only natural playmaker I suppose, I mean Messi is great but he's not a playmaker in the same sense as Riquelme, I hope Messi manages to break his curse and play well for Argentina though, the World Cup would become so much better if he did biggrin

I'm not a fan of soccer, but my father and brothers are (they are soccer freaks and they played the sport). And since my family's Chilean, you'll probably guess which team they'll be rooting for....

As for me, I dunno who I want to win, because I haven't watched soccer that much myself. none

It will be certainly us. The only team that actually wins against us is France, and they have a weak team this year, so it will be Brazil, no doubt. Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, England, Holland and others... They all tremble before the five-time world champion. We will rape all of you again. Even if Dunga decides to play with 5 center-backs and 5 defensive middle-fielders.

Now more seriously:
Spain just won't win it. Specially if we play against them. They had awesome teams in the past, but their best position was a one time forth place. No tradition. Can't even get to the finals of a Confederations Cup. Oh and Eurocup is overrated, there is no us or Argentina to rape all of you Europeans. But they have a very strong team. Will probably lose to someone with more tradition latter on.

Italy was already kind of old 4 years ago, now most of the important players are in their 30s and much weaker than what they were in the past. Can't see they winning either.

Argentina... well, seriously this is the one I fear the most. They have a very strong team but a very retarded Coach. Way more retarded than Dunga or Queiroz or anyone. IF Maracocain can give Argentina some short of good tactical consistency and if he does not fuck them up, maybe they can get to the semis or finals. Somewhat good chances

England? England is just like Spain. But they bought a world cup title back in 66. That's the only real difference. They won't win it ever again. Period. Plus, they have a weaker team than Spain and no unity. No chances.

Germans are Germans. Always getting to the finals or semi finals. Good team, but small chances.

Holland: nice team and all. If we don't win it, I hope they do. Cruyff was one of the greatest. Will probably face us in the quarters and will probably lose.

Portugal? We will beat them yet again in the group stages. Another 6-2 for us. Ivory Coast will rape them too. Cristiano Ronaldo is the biggest faggot ever. Queiroz is completely retarded too.

Ivory Coast: Hope they can get to the semis or quarters =x

And finally, us: Dunga is somewhat retarded BUT he won everything (confederations, southamerican) since 2007 and Brazil won all the recent friendlies against the favorites. Yes, we don't have Ganso (which by the way, will be way better than Ronaldinho Gaucho). Yes, too many defensive players. Yes, our team does not have any legends like there were before (Ronaldo, Romário, Pele, Garrincha, etc); but I'm pretty sure that we will do just fine. 50/50 chance for us winning it.

And even if we don't win it, 2014 is certainly ours.

Yeah, xD the funny thing is that Maradona summoned so many players because he wanted to "see how they feel wearing argentina's t-shirt" and how much sacrifice, and blabla, they show... If that's the case, many in the final team, shouldn't be there -Messi included-.
Ah... Messi is like Riquelme. If you want him to play well, then you must build the team thinking of what suits him better :\ and we have so many ego's in the team that makes it impossible.
And I agree... when Riquelme plays well, it's difficult not to fall in love with this game!

se7a you are underestimating Spain and I would hope that no manager at the world cup is in your mold or they would find themselves being played around by Spain. Underestimate them at your own peril. Tradition counts for NOTHING. The fact that they have never won it doesn't mean anything since this is here and now and you'd better believe that the spanish players themselves are dying to rectify that.
They are the best team ,they have strength in depth in every position and they are the team in form. What I fear is that they will try to play too much of their tippy tappy stuff without little end result but there are plenty of match winners in the team.
So make no mistake about it the team to beat is Spain.

lol I am a brazil supporter as well because no one has as much flair as Brazil when playing the game but your reasons for why Spain won't win and why Brazil will win etc is just too emotional aha. Spain has arguably the best overall team CURRENTLY and Eurocup is a big deal, please don't forget that in most world cup finals there has been a european team and the last team that won fifa world cup was european...Italy. Except 1994 world cup win which surprised a whole lot of people, Brazil has always relied on legends to win the world cup and in 1990 when Brazil employed a a defensive style of play guess what they got wasted. Spain has two incredible strikers Torres and Villa, two of the best midfielders currently Xavi and iniesta and a young new playmer david silva...they have a good solid defense Puyol, pique, sergio ramos....please their team is just brimming with talent.

Also you call Christano Ronaldo a faggot,,,,,um he was the world player of the year for 2008 scoring 42 goals in the toughest league ever..he has talent atleast give him credit for that.

anyways about argentina...as you stated correctly---retarded coach...messi needs to lift his game up.

Thats Cause FIFA awards 60% position to Europeans in the World Cup where as the other countries make up only 40% of it so it will always have a EU country in the final... and Asia is bigger than EU but they only grant 5 position to it and now the Aussie came in and stole one from them.

its probably because the others are not exactly that good. Qualifications from europe are much more competitive because countries there are arguably much better than countries in asia and we wouldn't want good europena countries to miss out because they would play soccer at a much better level and make it more entertaining for people. Also asian countries are not that good in comparison to most of the big shot european countires that make it in, thats also why they don't make it to the final. Yes in terms of probability european team has higher chance but in terms of talent european teams are better thats why...

Why it's always between America and Europe... Guess it's all because the leagues are competitive there... Who will win? No idea every team has a chance but let's realize that teams like South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea DPR, and Honduras have a meager chance to even qualify to the next round...

In Fact Group A will be the one which will tell us what kind of WC we will watch next month... If Uruguay and France qualify then we will have a classic one with Argentina and Nigeria Qualifiying on B, England and USA on C, Germany and Ghana on D, Holland and Denmark on E, Paraguay and Italy on F, Brazil and Portugal on G and Spain and Chile on H... with either Spain or Brazil winning the cup...

But if it goes Bananas then Mexico and SA will qualify on A, Greece and South Korea on B, Algeria and USA on C, Germany and Australia on D, Japan and Holland on E, Paraguay and New Zealand on F, Brazil and Korea DPR on G and Spain and Honduras on H... obviously the chance for this to happen are so limited that even if this is what happens Spain or Brazil will remain as the champs---

The truth is that I want Mexico to win since I'm Mexican but they're chances are few and if they don't make a great performance versus France and then against South Africa and finally finish off Uruguay they won't even qualify for the next round....and if even that happens the most I expect from them is to place fourth or third at most...

Besides Mexico I will cheer on Holland (awesome team), Paraguay, and finally Spain... and well let the ball roll already!

Signs,
Green biggrin

No, it isn't. Tradition counts. Weak but traditional teams have proven in the past that they can do well in WC. Germany is the best example, not always having strong teams bu almost always going to the latter stages.
Spain is strong, no doubt about that, but like I said, their best place ever was a 4th place. They had amazing teams in the past too but they just could not do well (2002, 98 for example). And the team is just too offensive, the mid-fielders specially. Not even one that is truly defensive.
AND individual, talented players isnt what it counts. It's the team. Brazil in 2006 had what was probably THE favorite team to win a world cup in the recent decades. Individually, they were awesome, but as a team... sucked badly =(

In 2001, France won the Eurocup and were favorites for the WC, but couldn't even qualify for the 2nd round. That happened with many teams, like Holland in the 90s. I don't really remember a team winning Eurocup and after that, winning the WC.

Like someone said, Europe has way more teams in the WC than SA. South America has something like 30% of the teams. South America won half of the world cups; Europe the other half.
And most of the world cups finals were played by either Brazil or Germany, so thank the Germans.
- AND - if it wasn't for the first two WC that only 13 AMATEUR teams played in 34 and 38, Italy would only be 2 times world champions

And something that should be noted: All World Cups won by European teams have taken place in Europe. That is another fact and something that really matters.

CRonaldo has talent, but he is a faggot and he is playing for a mediocre Portugal, which won't probably go even past the Group Stages.

BUT it is football... Some weird shit happens. I hope that our 6th title comes this year, if it does not 2014 WC will be in here.

Never underestimate zee Germans!!.... Bayern have had a good domestic and European season, but they don't have that many German players, do they? I guess they could always depend on Ballack, but he'll probably miss the final (if they make it that far) through suspension like he always does, so....

FC Bayern has quite many German players and 7 (!) of them are nominated for the German national team.
And Ballack...well... he can't participate because of an injury sad. Schweinsteiger has to fill in as captain.

Btw: Germany will win!

Your cursing down Portugal right?
I have no problems with hate to Ronaldo, he probably does it on purpose anyway.
