I don't want to overreact and say it's over for Spain. I mean, let's face it. Spain dominated time of possession and outnumbered Switzerland's shots by a wide margin. They just couldn't get anything in. It was just that kind of day. Give credit to Switzerland, though. They played good defense, and that goalie, wow. It's going to be an uphill battle for Spain from now on, and I'm not feeling too confident in my pick anymore.

This means that Spain likely to be second and if they are second and there are no more upsets , they will have to face off against Brazil I think.

He likes to move around that Mourinho.

Well, as long as he stays away from the Premiership I don't care.

That referee for the south African game needs to be...I'm so frustrated that tackle did not deserve a red card

Goalkeeper clipped him, fair be it Suarez went down easy, but at the end of the day the keeper didn't get the ball. I don't feel sorry for South Africa, they didn't have the quality and Forlan played like a beast.

He was the last man. If the last man fouls the player, it's a red card, whether the foul is red card worthy or not.

got to admit i agree with you both. Brazil isn't looking as sharp as people thought. Aparantly they lost 2-0 to paraguay in one of the qualifiers eek ........ laugh Who's paraguay?
Think Brazil was called "Donkeys" for loosing that game. Maybe we over rated their perfomance?

Paraguay is one of the best teams in South America. They might not have famous players but they really are hard to beat in qualifiers.
In the last Copa America, Brazil didn't play that well but in the end, they kicked Argentina's ass (and we were favourites to win). Is more like they don't want to sweat xD until it's really necessary because they know they are going to qualify anyway. So I wouldn't take World Cup qualifiers in South America so seriously...

Portugal is a high candidate to be on the podium in this World Cup, we don't depend on C. Ronaldo we have pretty good players that have already prove themselfs on the europe's top championships.

I know and understand jealousy it's a pain but stick it....

FIFA WORLD RANKING
(...)
3 Portugal
(...)

ALLEZ PORTUGAL ALLEZ

BTW the ppl who talked about Mourinho I just have one thing to say... He kicked your ass in England/Italy didn't he? Poor you!!!

Chile played amazing even though they were missing both its main 9 players, suazo/paredes, they lacked the final touch to score more goals, but approximately 22 shots to the goal were more than enough proof of their superiority during the match. Glad to see Fernandez getting back some of his level during the match. and Sanchez and Vidal played godlike for starters. Valdivia wasn't on his day it seems, and Medel was unbeatable.

But now is when the real deal starts on the H group.
