It's him!! Member 2:03 pm, May 13 2010 Posts: 608	Seriously, is this the best thing he can manage? Black Cat was awesome and Yamato Gensouki had potential but was cut short. Now he is reduced to illustrating second rate harem rom/com manga. Not to bash TLR or Mayoi Neko or anything, but those two aren't exactly great. I feel he could do something much better than what he does now. Why is he stuck illustrating this instead of trying to give us something awesome like Black Cat again? When TLR was ending I was overjoyed with the thought that he could write his own manga again, but instead I get this. And to think that his drawing is good and cute and he is the author of such great series like Black Cat. Damn! ________________

I'm a huge fan of Yabuki Kentaro, and I wish he'd just 'get on with it'. Having said that though, the poll IS skewed. You've basically got two options: Yabuki Kentaro is wasting his talents, and Yabuki Kentaro has no talent (and any fan of Yabuki Kentaro can't choose this option) - you don't allow for people who actually enjoy Yabuki Kentaro's current/recent work. ________________ If you were to go there and come back to me hurt, I will take your place.. and pull everything you hate.. into destruction... Black Cat was good for like 5 volumes, TLR was good for like 5 minutes and Overrun is just silly. I do want to read Black Cat part 2 should it ever come out. But, he may have realized that he can't write romance manga on his own. Black Cat and Yamato Gensouki were action and TLR and Overrun are romance. The latter two are collaborations. Mind you, Yamato Gensouki was not bad at all. I think that he just needs a bit of time to figure out his life and get the action thing going again. Is all.

Member 4:37 am, Sep 14 2010 Posts: 4	I don't think he's wasting his talent. I think TLR and Mayoi Neko is among the top harem manga. furthermore, the plots can be read light-hearted. It's a good read for fleeing from daily stress. I personally think he is even more improved in mayoi neko. for those who prefer more plot and action, I think these manga are a no-go. but I personally prefer action harem. for example, Rosario+Vampire. Rather than Black Cat, I think he'll do much better if he expand his Futagami Double into a series, not just a oneshot. I think It'll become a good action harem manga since the main character is an action cute girl. knowing it's Yabuki-sensei, I think he'll use some ecchi element in it, since it's his talent.
