I actually think that Tite was planning for Isshin to have the same attack(if not same sword all together) as Ichigo all along because if you think back to when Ichigo just got his shikai while training with Urahara, Tessai was staring in awe when Ichigo released Zangetsu. This was probably because he noticed that it was identical to Isshin's in some way.

Yea that last page was nice but I wonder what is gonna happen next. I am more interested in finding out how Rangiku is gonna mess everything up haha. I wonder if everyone else from the shop is trying to get everyone in Hueco Mundo out of there. I hope they are cus Kenpachi needs to come back and snap some sense into Ichigo.

Also I dont wanna hear any "Byakuya/Kenpachi could have easily killed Aizen that's why they were left out of the fight" shenanigans

I wish I had your optimism. I do think this is just KT's way of not having to be creative. I think it went something like this: "Hmm, I need to come up with something for Isshin's Zanpakutou, not to mention one for Yoruichi. Why did I have to introduce her in this fight? Eh, I can just stall and keep making her do Shunkou. Wait a minute. Isshin is Ichigo's dad, and Ichigo uses Getsuga Tenshou. Since they're father and son and their bond is so strong, they should have the same power. HAHA! Kubo Tite you sly devil." Or something like that.

I am just hoping it's the same attack, but a different overall weapon. Let's see what happens next week.

Lots going on in this chapter. I guess the attack coordinated by Urahara won't work again because Aizen is too tough, but we'll see.

I'm intriqued by Ichigo's apparent weakness and Gin's taunting. Is Gin up to something other than busting up Ichigo?? It certainly seems that he's not taking the fight seriously at all. How is Matsumoto connected to Gin's behavior? I'm interested to see how it all plays out.

I was thinking more along these lines. Tite couldn't come up with anything for most of the captains' bankai (and had so incredibly stupid shikai), so I would expect something similar for Isshin's sword. "Hmm..no idea what to do here...got it! Their swords are related. I'm a genius! Jump, just keep those checks coming."

I'm still waiting for the usual trip inside of Ichigo's soul so that we can fight over control again. I guess Matsumoto will keep Gin busy while he does this?

I don't get why none of them are using their bankais anymore...I mean, they are supposed to be fighting the strongest opponent that any of them has faced up till now right? but, the vaizards didn't use bankai, Yammamoto didn't use bankai, Ishin isn't using bankai, and Urahara isn't using bankai either. Where did all the bankais go??

You're assuming that the bankai is the beset move for every situation. The 3 going up against Aizen seem to be strategists.

Also, Isshin used Getsuga, but I've never understood why no one else has. From they explained, it's just releasing a bunch of reiatsu. And I doubt his bankai will be the same as Ichigo's, so relax. Though if it was, I wouldn't be too bothered as it would be a good indication of what Ichigo could become.
