Blade 2
Sister act ( was just as Good)
Ghost in the shell: innocence (it's debatable but i think it was brilliant and the animation Amazing)

The only sequel that I think is better than the original would be Tinker Bell: The Lost Treasure. The first movie, called Tinker Bell, was about a little fairy getting born and making friends with a bunch of other fairies. There were a lot of characters running around and none got enough screentime to get any character development.

Then the second movie came out and it focused only on Tinker Bell and her best, male friend. Both of these characters got great character development (and a nice moral lesson too!), their friendship was so heartwarming. It totally beats the first movie.

the Dark Knight. It was the sequel to Batman Begins and it was just as awesome.

New Moon was way better than Twilight, though neither movie is really good (pity since I did like the books).

Kill Bill 2 was better than Kill Bill in my opinion (and you get all the info from the first movie in the second so the first becomes kind of pointless).

I liked the Underworld sequels a lot. The ending to the second one was great. I really hope a 4th one comes soon. ^^

Oh, and I second the Dark Knight. That was probably the greatest sequel of all time.

Quote from morenverca
in video games: Super Mario Galaxy 2 > Super Mario Galaxy
Fallout 3 (not really a sequel but I believe its the best in the Fallout series biggrin )

No, Fallout 3 is far worse than both other True Fallout games. It lacked the charm, the characters, the mystery. It lacked a decent battle system. It lacked a wasteland atmosphere (most populated wasteland I've ever seen), and it didn't make as much sense as previous settings. 200 years and people are still living off the ruins of the past? Back on the West Coast the survivors are building a new civilization. And have been for over a hundred years, at this point...

Baldur's Gate 2 was better than the first.
Ninja Turtles 2 on the NES was far better than its prequel.
Super Mario Bros 3 is hailed as the masterpiece of the NES, so of course it's a good sequel.
Red Steel 2 is far greater than its predecessor.
Mass Effect 2 is lauded as better than the first.

Actually, in Video Games the first sequel is often better than the original, refining gameplay and adding story instead of building from the ground up.

I have to agree with Red Steel 2. Major major improvement from the original.
