For a long time now I haven't been able to vote in the poll. When I come to the site logged in, it only shows me the results of the poll but it doesnt give me the option to vote myself. Any ideas on what's going on?

it normally does that when you've already voted. Either you have and you forgot, or someone's voted on your computer... maybe. I know if I'm on my laptop and vote it will only display the results until the next poll, but I can get on my iphone and vote again even though I'm logged on both my computer and on my iphone... >_< I think you can only vote one time on one computer... I hope that makes since.

It makes sense but I've definitely not forgotten whether or not I've voted. I'm probably on here once a day, so I know I never vote. Also, I'm on my personal laptop in which I'm the only one who knows the password, so no one else is voting for me. :/

i'm not sure, but I think it goes by the ip address. So if there is anyone else in your house on this site that votes, that might be the problem.

Edit: just tested it with my brother's computer and there seems to be one vote per IP address

That's kinda what I was trying to get at. One vote per computer. (I don't know computer language. laugh )

Right. But I'm the only one on this computer, meaning my IP address should not be used.

Well, if you have a router then everyone connected to that router have the same IP. You just have different ''local'' IP addresses.

Hmm, I talked to everyone in the house and no one even knows what this site is. Would there be another reason for why I can't vote?

I can't vote too. I'm sure no one voted from my computer.

Same here! Wish there was a way to fix this, I used to be able to vote on polls and rather liked doing so.

I noticed when I hit see results, it won't let me vote for that week.
If I hit see results on my phone ( Which is not logged into my account) it is as if I hit see results on my laptop (that does have my account logged in). Maybe because they were both using the same network or something.
* This is for the weekly polls

It's tracked by your global IP address as seen by MU. If you have a dynamic IP address (good chance of that), then someone else voted that happened to have that same address. Dynamic IP addresses are assigned by your ISP, so it's entirely possible that you share with someone else.

And as others have noted, checking the results of the poll will prevent you from voting
