From his actions so far i can almost see a hint of goodness
For example hes maybe intentionally trying to man ichigo up
and he even might have made their destination abit further away from karakura town with Aizens action as a excuse, he might be doing things in secret to aid the shinigamis from the shadows

I voted - NO - ... well it'd make a good plot twist
It might not fit in the story line... but maybe Gin is more like getting fed up with aizen; I dunno really; but he does seem a bit volatile in his actions, so it's possible

I would agree with you, but then you have to remember that he did slice Hiyori in half for absolutely no reason whatsoever, so I don't think he's good. I still think he's neutral and working for a third side that hasn't been properly introduced yet.

No shit?
What kind of question is that?
If it somehow twists into him being relatively good though...it'll be one of the most bullshit plot twists ever. He's psychotic evil. It's as plain as day.

Well seeing how Aizen was going around and cutting everyone down himself, I kinda doubt this was the case.

Originally, in the beginning of Soul Society arc, I thought that Gin was really the main bad guy and didn't suspect Aizen at all. That freaky smile, kind of put me off, then Shinji appeared with the same smile and he was the good guy, so Kibo is into those kind of freaky smiles in his characters, maybe its his trademark or something. Then in the past arc, Gin didn't seem to me such a bad guy, true he sliced Hiyori, but now thats Unohana is here, that wound doesn't seem so bad as say Hitsugaya, the poor kid never seem to get a break from Aizen always getting sliced! And Gin had to keep appearances around Aizen.
Due to his most recent behavior, I think and expect that Gin is not a bad guy, or at very least not working for Aizen, nor interested in betraying Aizen for power. I think that Gin is either a good guy but working for someone above Gotei 13, who is higher than Yamomoto, maybe a royal division or something. Or Gin is a bad guy, and working for really bad guy who's been manipulating Aizen till now. But I suspect that Gin is a good guy working for someone really high up.
At this point in time, the real disappointment for me would be if Gin is really a bad guy who is really what he is expected to be - either loyal to Aizen or using Aizen to get power for himself, also another disappointment would be if Gin gets a sob story like he is a misunderstood guy who had to work for Aizen but really loves Rangiku.
So I am seriously expecting Gin being a good guy undercover for someone really really high up.

Maybe, only time will tell. If he is, then he'd better have a good excuse to be who he is (not another "this is my justice after everyone around me died" story). If he's an undercover good guy, then he'd better have an even better excuse for everything.

Especially for all that slaughtering he committed as a child?

Are you seriously thinking that?

I think he's neither good nor bad guy. He just acts on his own purpose that is to obtain the Hougyoku and to return something back to Rangiku. At the brief flashback there was a scene in which he witnessed Aizen's lackeys stole something from Rangiku (maybe part of her soul, since souls are the main component of the Hougyoku).
Remember Gin's demeanor towards Rukia before, Gin must knew that Rukia had the Hougyoku all along. When he met Rukia on her way to execution, he actually pondered on rescuing her so that he might have the Hougyoku. Whether it was his dislike to her or his considering that it would be mightily difficult to get the orb out if he do so, it was quite obvious that he chose to get that orb no matter what.
And I think he really dislike Aizen but the way he always has that smile freaks me out.
