Looking for manga with mercenaries, soldiers, or any other type of gunfighter in the main cast.

Try the mercenary , gunfighter and assassin categories.

Gunslinger Girl and Peace Maker are pretty good.

Desert Punk- Main character is a mercenary type, uses guns.
Koukoku no Shugosha- Only one chapter out. Main characters are soldiers (with guns). Also, there are saber-tooth tigers.

EDIT: Sry, seems like I overread sth. Ares has no guns at all, it's full of swords & other stuff. But still, they ARE soldiers.

Black Lagoon by Rei Hiroe and I also second Eden: It's An Endless World.

There's a good one called Western Shotgun but no one's scanlating it though...the tokyopop version's also discontinued because they messed it up by changing the content...

Jormungand involves arms merchant koko and her crew of weapons specialists, that might be worth checking out.
