okay you guys will probably think im stupid but what exactly is Mirc? a type of ICR? then what is ICR? the descriptions ive found are complicated and im too lazy right now to check wikipedia.

okay i can set my nick but when i try to register it keeps saying my email isnt valid? and it is? ive tried like 10 times! nevermind that was stupid i found a flaw in the guide~ you cant put something bogus as your email address or when you go to put ur real one itll sya email not valid. or you could just use your bogus one but then you couldnt vaildate it.

IRC stands for internet relay chat. mIRC is a program for connecting to irc servers. Connect to a server -> Join a channel -> talk to people.

You can also join channels that distrubtes warez or in the case of this post manga and anime.

Thank you so sooo much for this post!!!
And many thanks too from all the wothless people that registered because your explanations were clear and usefull... and would never ever think of trying to get an mIRC account otherwise... (replace people by me cause I'm not sure the all the others users of your post even care about thanking you)...

All in all this reply means thanks!

Err, sorry to ask this annoying question but I was wondering where to enter the address info in the client as I'm really not sure and the FAQ section here tells me to read here.

Thanks for the guide, it was really helpful.

I tried to draw a map of how these things are related...

I attempted to show that all networks are independent from each other, they do not share channels, and when you register a nick on a network you register only on that network.

After thinking about it, I guess I could simply say; Your IRC client will not do all the work for you, you will have to type and execute commands yourself.

for those who use Firefox, there is a IRC plug-in: chatzilla.
most of the guidelines still apply(except from download and set-up stuff obviously)

Question:
I'm running Opera on windows, and I'd like Opera to open mirc when I click on a irc link, how do I do that?

You've read this? http://www.mirc.com/mirclink.html
I don't use Opera or mIRC so I don't know personally, I even found that with google.

Okay guys, I have a problem. I want to load multiple commands in the IRC so that I could let it download all the manga that I wanted without me monitoring it. The problem is, the software only save up to 6 multiple commands at a time and usually there are more than 6 files that I want to download. I've tried a lot of ways of typing my command to overcome this problem, such as typing all the commands one by one and also using the command "/LOAD -e <textfile>". But the software still won't download anything after it finished downloading 6 files unless I typed it again. Is there a setting that I have to change to overcome this problem? Or is it just the way the software was built?

P/S: I'm using two OS (Windoze n Debian) so I use mIRC and XChat, but both of them shows the same problem.
