ok ever since the tokyo arc this story has been pissing me off. Week after week we get nothing that advances the plot and all we get to c is haruto being a retard chasing after someone that has obviously moved on. Im putting this on hold untill the story actually advances. The story feels like it is going to drag on forever. Im a huge fan of Seo, but enough is enough.

Ur thoughts?

Honestly, Seo drags out the story. You find out that every part of it is important. You find this out in the end though. Put it off to the side for a while. But it seems to me that Seo is going to make a move soon. Let it be the next chapter or 5 more, he will make an important move.
But this is all pure guess work.

Well... can't exactly say she "moved on". It's not certain if Eba truly stop liking him and is seriously in love with the new guy. But the series, right now, does indeed feel stagnant. I usually just hop to the last 2-3 pages. If someone is screaming or gets slapped, it means the chapter is actually worth my five minutes of glancing. If not, it's just another week of random conversations, lol. laugh

Zzz...come on now why is everyone so mad about the story right now. It's obvious in this latest chapter Eba and Kazama are smiling happily because they are talking about Haruto. Ya, it's not really getting anywhere with the recent chapters but we all know who Haruto's gonna end up with. So, I would like to think we all read this manga for that journey not to see who ends up with who, because we all know who will it end up with Haruto. Also, in Suzuka wasn't one of the main plot focuses not giving up? In this manga were seeing the same thing. I consider the latest chapter the calm before the storm I actually don't hate it and don't understand why everyone's raging.

Why is everyone mad cause of the story right now?
We read this for the journey, not the destination.
Conflicting points those are PiLi. If we read this for the journey, then all there is to get mad about is the right now...

I think the worst part is over. Now we just gotta wait for some big non-rage-inducing event and then the end will be in sight.

I personally don't drop a manga if it's going through a bad patch, and I've seen worse bad patches than this. I drop a manga when I find I don't care about the story or what happens anymore.
I want to know what happens in this story. Fine, there are a few cliche moments, Haruto makes decisions we don't like and Eba has turned into what seems like a complete bitch, but you know what? I think I wouldn't like it if it was all happy from the word go. Conflict is good. Nobody knows what's really going to happen. It's not as predictable as you think.
Plus, if Haruto just moved on and none of this "pointless" conversation was happening with Kazama's surgery and stuff, I would think it was moving too fast. I guess it seems slow to us because we're reading a chapter a week and it seems like nothing is happening.
So personally, I'm not dropping it or keeping it on hold. I'm generally interested in what happens next and if that means reading chapters where nothing really happens for 5 minutes a week until something happens then so be it.
I would laugh if something develops in next weeks chapter after you've just put it on hold laugh

Ya, that's is what I'm trying to say. The story may not being going how we want it to and I understand why people are mad right now but I don't understand why they take is so personal ie. saying they'll drop the manga. The story doesn't really bother me one bit. How should I say this...I have never thought about dropping the manga because of the latest development?

The latest chap was alright, but it's still pretty annoying at times w/ random characters coming and going (Shiho, and I think this is the last time we'll be seeing Asakura). But it's not bad enough for me to drop. The problem w/ Seo's and most long-running shonen romance series is that they're really painful to read on a weekly basis.

.... I'll be honest when I say I dropped the manga when her sister came in...
I started reading it before it got really popular and... yeah... it's a tale full of zzz's.

W/e i hope it get's better....i hope that the story will go thru the "Eba was pregnant" path! Now this would get interesting! ...O well... We know how Seo is, he loves to make 180 Degree spins in story's.(Like in sakuza?? the main Female left to america...The main dude almost lost his V-Card to another chick..She come's back they have sex,she get's pregnant and they get married.) And he also loves to put in clues in the story as hint's of what's to come..That's the reson why i think she was pregnant and left Haruto...We will see what happends..We all know that HarutoXEba will end up together, but hey i do love Drama's/Romance! Me? I think ...that i will keep on reading this, and yes i hate waiting a week per chapter's.. >_>

But then who's the daddy? Those few days she went back to Tokyo for the family funeral was the only time she wasn't around Haruto.

but Kimi is different because it's Seo Kouji manga (if you've read Princess Lucia you'll understand)

I feel the same as you. Usually when I read shounen manga, I find it very enjoyable to read at first. However, I start to lose interest when the mangaka starts prolonging the manga because things now become way to repetitive and boring as you said. I mean kimi no iru machi should have ended right where eba and haruto realized their feelings for one other.

Then it would have been just another cliché romance manga.

I didn't see her leaving like that coming at all. I think it gives the story an edge. Yeah it makes us all go mad at Eba but that's the sign of a good manga, when it starts to hit you emotionally ('tis what I think anyway)
I think it would have been very boring if it had cut off at that moment. At least this way it's a bit more interesting.
