I don't care that people know I'm into manga and anime. Still, there's been times when people have walked in on myself or friends (or both) and either due to the series we were watching, the situation, or whatever, it ended up turning into a really awkward and/or embarrassing moment. I'm interested in hearing if others have experienced this sort of thing too.

My awkward story starts back in highschool. My best friend had recently acquired the entire Love Hina anime series and we decided to have a love hina marathon and watched the entire first season in the space of a weekend. It was going smoothly until his dad joking accused us of watching hentai and then later that night walks in RIGHT when Naru has a highly suggestive strip sequence with another female character. (if you've ever watched the series, you know what I mean) The awkward part wasn't him walking in on it, the awkward came when we couldn't get him to leave after because he wanted to watch with us. It took a while for us to convince him it wasn't an H series. no

when I lived with my parent mangascans community was small, and also the internet in my country is the worst in asia, can't expect to download anything bigger than mp3 size, so I can only get manga from retails, even though there are only popular title published.

as for now I live with my brother, even if I watched/read hentai there wouldn't be any awkward walk in moment.

I can think of one. It's not really a walk in, but it was pretty awkward nonetheless. Me and three of my friends had anime nite going for a while. On the last night, we decided to watch FLCL (Fooly Cooly). In episode 3 or 4, Haruko is getting massaged by Naota's dad while making some very... suggestive moaning sounds. That wouldn't have been a big deal except for the fact that my friend's mom had been sitting directly behind us doing something for the whole night. Oh, and my friend has a pretty good surround sound system, so the moans were loud. I think we all realized this at the same time since my friend put the value down almost immediately and asked me, "Is there any more of this?" Yes, there was.

I don't know what her reaction was because I didn't want to turn around. I'm just glad she didn't make a comment.

There was this one time when I was reading some ecchi series. My mom came in, and she reprimanded me for reading something so "immoral". I promised her that would be my first and last, so please don't tell anyone about it.
Two days later, my uncle visited us, and he suddenly went to my room, only to see me reading that series. I promised the same thing again and begged him not to tell my parents.
Later that night, my father came in my room...
Well, in the end, no one knows that I'm still reading ecchi mangas laugh

...well it wasn't exactly manga, it was an art book I was looking all over for on the web. But the only site that had it was this yaoi/yuri/shoujo site. So I tabbed it and went to check my e-mail. then out of nowhere my older sister pops up and stares at the screen and looks at the "yaoi/yuri..."(shoujo was cut off) tab. she stared at me and said "god, you're disgusting " and walked away...i never cleared up that misunderstanding... it was ..yeah...well in the other hand I got to see the artbook

I was reading hentai and my then-9-year-old sister walked in on me....good thing she didn't know what it was and she's probably forgotten...

When I was a kid, I watched any anime the aired on the only channel that offered it.

And what came out in a OVA spree was Yami no Matsuei...just mindlessly watching it and didn't know what it was about until the antagonist (male) was sexually harassing a tied up shota and then dad immediately said..."You like this show? Aren't those guys gay?"

And I just stared blankly into space upon realization of what I just watched.

I was reading Nana to Kaoru, and it was during a BDSM scene, and my
little brother sat down next to me and didn't leave for about 20 minutes. I had to minimize it and scroll around the desktop to look like I was doing something.

Not as awkward as some of the other stuff though
