My perspective might be skewed because I just read all of the chapters back to back but the farm chapters are a very refreshing break from all the doom and gloom of previous chapters, plus Thorfinn is finally turning into a character that I can root for. But rest assured, the author didn't spend 56 chapters on warfare and political intrigue to turn it into a farming manga.

true say... with the last few chapters focusing on farm life and the slow scanlation, I'm starting to regard this manga as "farmland saga" cry

every time a new chapter comes out i think it will be some shit like king Canute(even though he is still "little bitch" to me) visiting or inspecting the farm and finds thorfinn or someone from his past finds him to and returns his daggers or some thing but it isn't instead you get so really deep character development in the form of farming and developing dreams and friendships and love a good trade off the character development was really necessary but he didn't have to take the action away

I like the slow pace, it gives it more of a "real life" feel wile reading the BOOKS. Seriously, reading this online, and every week just ruins such a great manga. I read one chapter online and I was hooked. I'm going to go try finding it at the library, or book store.

I think it may not involve canute anymore as the story will probably move to more about how thorfinn will venture off to find Vinland.

I don't mind this farming at all.
Scenes of battles have gotten old
before old got old.

Although I am enjoying the farming storyline it does apear to be a little off topic and am starting to find slow. Don't mind if the plot does go back to canute just kinda want to see that its going somewhere.

It hasn't been licensed in English. Which means you won't find it in any English bookstores. But have at you if you're multi-lingual.

I take it English isn't your native language, but Vinland Saga focusing on the character development on Thorfinn isn't "off-topic." Although Canute's sudden metamorphism to a cold and calculating king didn't seem to have been executed as properly as it could have, I like the gradual pacing the author is taking with Thorfinn.
