which college did you go to, though, amaranthine?

I used to go to DLSU and UP in the Philippines (yea, I transfer a lot) but you prolly don't know those schools.

I go to a state university right now.

that's...really helpful, amaranthine XDD. i mean, there's only like 5 state universities in the world.

Um...my grades are closest to lamb's out of everyone here. My GPA is right now 4.4/4.5 because I got a B+ in English class and an A instead of an A+ in history my sophomore year, the year I cared about grades so much I was bound to screw up. Yeah, I'm a math/science geek who likes to blow things up.

Right now, as a senior, I'll probably wind up either as valedictorian or salutatorian in a class of about 350-400 people. Not that I don't want the honor, but I'll probably be too lazy/infected with senioritis after six AP exams (hopefully keeping up the five streak that I've started), like all of my friends will be, to write a proper speech at graduation.

It's been a while since HS so I don't remember exact grades... I'd say about half As, half Bs for the first three years (and one C in Yearbook class, because I switched out at semester due to the teacher being a jerk). Senior year was straight As. I was a conscientious student, but didn't really work very hard - not motivated at all. HS was awful, getting out of there was such a relief!!

College the first time I think my GPA was 3.75 (out of 4.0 max) and second time was 4.0 (out of 4.0 max). You'd think I'd do worse in college the second time considering I was also working and single mom of two preschoolers, but I was REALLY motivated. Not that it helped me get a good job, but that's a different topic. dead

Whoa, single mom with preschoolers and you got 4.0 eyes that's awesome.

I bet you partied a lot on your first time laugh

Ugh way back last century... in high school I had something like a C average 2.5-2.8 GPA ... was super lazy... played hooky all the time... never did homework eek When I started college though went up to A's and a few B's 3.7-3.8 GPA (Little more motivation when you have to pay for everything yourself biggrin )

My high school grades were about B+. But i skipped classes alot not to mention turned in homework late and because of late homework got quite a bit of detention. So i guess you can say i was lazy, i was surprised that i managed to get decent grades and pass high school. I still get decent grades now that im in college, but im still lazy and i still have those old high school habitats.

I had average grades while in school. I didn't ever feel the need to exceed what was expected of me, and the teachers eventually found out I was bored with the work. I stopped turning in assignments, eventually.

The way the school system works is that they teach you something, test you on it, and then reteach you it and retest you to reinforce what you've learned. I got it the first time 'round, so I was bored on the second time, and generally didn't pay much attention to it, which hurt my overall grades.

They noticed this, and bumped me up two grade levels. But I was still bored. I heard the G.E.D. test was alot harder than finals of senior year, so I dropped out of high school and took that. I was only 130 points shy of a perfect score.

However, being that I was a night person back then, I had been up all night the day before the test, so I was quite tired.

I'm now a College student studying for my Associate of Arts degree in I.T.

I just recently started because I wanted to take a large break from schooling to sort some personal issues out.

A few years back I made a lot of Fs and Ds, but the past two years i've been making As and Bs because I realized I should stop being so lazy and do work. I do make Cs sometimes too, but that is usually and English and I hate that class.

I did pretty well in HS considering I was usually f*cked up on something when I actually went to class. By the way - tripping in Trig is not recommended. I looked at the book, looked at the teacher, said - really loudly - "I have no clue what the hell you're talking about" and then proceeded to laugh really loudly and uncontrollably before I got up and just left school. lol Man, those were the days. I had so much fun back then. ^_^ But, I graduated just fine with high scores on my regents exams and SATs.

I cleaned up after high school (after all - I had to pay out of pocket to go to college) and pulled straight A's and one B in Jr. College. Got into the University of my choice / program I wanted, and did not so bad, even though it was much much harder and I had no motivation. I was a big time crammer. Another hint - don't try to cram a semesters worth of Organic Chemistry in in one night. ^_^; You'll wish you didn't. And try not to have a baby three weeks before the end of your very last semester. I had to bring my baby to the finals with me (and my husband) because I was breastfeeding and it was impossible to introduce a bottle at that point. But surprisingly, finals went well. lol

i'm only in the first 2 weeks of my freshman year, but i've gotten straight A's for my last two years (7th & 8th grades)....was the salutatorian for my middle school, which i can't figure out why, since i'm only in half-merits & half-honors program....graduation wasn't exactly pleasant, but i got through my speech pretty well (no boo's)

ps: another thing is i don't generally evolves my life around studying (the average percentage of my time is divided into - computer (50%) study & school (30%) survival activities (20%).....it's a wonder how i pull off an A for the major projects last year

Hmm, so +/- on the grade counts for your GPA? Doesn't count in ours..Then again, you have above 4.0, so that's gotta be weighted

o.O At my school, even though we had 4.0 as the highest, the +/-s were counted as well.
