People bragging over their grades are so cute. <3
cute? Define cute.
You think you're smart, right?
So, you should already know what I meant. <3

Actually, for me, it's more like 95% work, 5% smart. If I ever cut class or didn't do my homework, or didn't study, I wouldn't know a thing. I'm too clueless to be called smart.
So I think that I know what you're talking about, but I'm not very sure.

Ah, humility.
Well then, my comment was not directed towards you. Pay it no mind.

I heard the G.E.D. test was alot harder than finals of senior year, so I dropped out of high school and took that. I was only 130 points shy of a perfect score.
However, being that I was a night person back then, I had been up all night the day before the test, so I was quite tired.
I'm now a College student studying for my Associate of Arts degree in I.T.
I just recently started because I wanted to take a large break from schooling to sort some personal issues out.

Ah, same as me. Though my score was far from perfect, I was still "demonstrating superior knowledge" in all subjects except for Social Studies and scored in the 99th percentile overall.
Well I'm glad I'm not the only one with a GED here. I'm currently a freshman in college getting my AS in Business Administration.
I didn't finish past about 9th/10th grade in HS.
Oh, and my grades were bad because I didn't do homework. I did fine on all the tests.

I would say that I'm doing pretty well. I'm still a sophomore here, but I haven't really failed any classes. Most of my grades are around the 90s and high 80s. I guess I'm pretty well off. -_-; I'm just hoping that I can keep this up.

Well, I barely got a 4.0 in freshman year... If I hadn't gotten a new Civics teacher in the second quarter, I would've gotten a 3.5.
Last year I took an AP class, and for the first two marking periods I got a 4.17, but I got a 4.0 in third and a 3.5 in fourth, so my overall grade was a 4.0. (I normally got low As in Honors Chem and high Bs in Honors Pre-Calc.)
I'm not so sure about this year, though. I'm taking four AP classes and I'm in marching band, so my time's gonna be pretty restrained... I think I'll get Bs in most of my AP classes (and that's with me crossing my fingers), so I might get a 4.0 again.
But, honestly, I'm in shock over my grades. I procrastinate like crazy; last year I was awake for 34 hours straight 'cos I had to do my AP World outline (takes me about three to four hours to type) and my entire science fair project in one night (I got a C on it 'cos I left a paper at home and stuff). XD I'm just lucky that my Latin teacher accepts all late work without dropping any points. (I normally have eleven things missing a week before the marking period ends, and I hand all of 'em in on the last day.) Otherwise, I'd be screwed.

ehhh i cant remember my high school grading system cause it was so weird - after we are graded our grades are moderated... where basically they are altered based on the state assessment of our subject difficulty x.x
basically if we get a 50% and the rest of the schools in the state that teach the subject have an easier marking system then our grades get moderated up (say to 60%) however if they mark harder then our grades get moderated down (say to 40%)
at uni its a bit easier:
0-40% = F2 = GPA 1.0
40-50% = F1 = GPA 3.0
50-55% = P2 = GPA 4.0
55-65% = P1 = GPA 4.5
65-75% = C = GPA 5
75-85% = D = GPA 6
85-100% = HD = GPA 7
there are also CP and TP.... however the % for those are wierd.... the GPA for those are 4.0 though

jezz 85-100 is your top ranking that is easy. never had a class that was over 10 each scale always 7% or 10%, and in my uni if your taking the class for your major you pretty much have to get a 70% or above to not have to retake it, but a above 80% avg is really what you need to do anything.

I had B's and C's all the way through high school except in my computer courses (which were all high A's), but I never really tried all that hard. I used most of my school day to catch up on my sleep XD

Interesting...maybe when posting grades, people should also post the percentages required to earn a certain grade, because it seems to vary a lot.
All through Jr High & HS, my school's grading scale was the same for every class, something like:
93%+ = A
85-92% = B
77-84% = C
65-76% = D
under 65% = F
I know the %s are right for A & B, not totally sure of the others.
In college it varied from class to class.

here in BC it was:

67-72%=C+
73-85%=B
86%+=A

My school has a grading system with nice numbers, but it's really retarded:
<60% = F
60-64% = F+
65-69% = D
70-74% = C
75-79% = C+
80-84% = B
85-89% = B+
90-94% = A
95-100% = A+
So basically, even a plain old A lowers your GPA. Grr... You have to hit the A+ for a perfect.

That is exactly what my College English grading scale is like.
High School:
90-100% = A = 4.5-5.0 GPA
80-89% = B = 4.0-4.4 GPA
70-79% = C = 3.5-3.9 GPA
60-69% = D = 3.0-3.4 GPA
59% and below = F = 2.9 and below GPA
GPA in my high school was/is the percent that you have stated through the fraction of GPA/5. So my GPA of 4.2 would be an 84% B (4.2/5). Oh if you were to take all honors through out a year it would be possible to end up with a 5.5 GPA.
I hope that makes sense, it does to me but it's kinda hard for me to explain (I mean I know what I'm talking about but it's just that for me it's kinda hard to put into words).

In my high school, 80+ is an A. And, if I get 45%, they'll round it up to a 50%, which is a pass. You can hardly fail at my high school.
In another high school, somebody got a 30%, but the principle didn't want any failures so she gave him a 50%.
Xeronia less than 60% is an F?? And between 60% and 65% is F+, they're very ugly marks. (I mean, if my report card came from your school, I'd have a few F's...) F usually means fail in my school.
