Discuss.

Do you think that Moria really died? His body could been artificial and real one kept in secure place. Seems pretty logical for Kage Kage no Mi abilities.

Honestly, I'm not quite so sure, and the only one who could answer that question is Oda himself.

Back to the topic, I'm surprise Chopper decided to stick around in the East Blue (if only to improve himself); must be related with the message Luffy had sent. The same goes to Sanji

Also interesting is that Bonney has some history with the World Government. Even more interesting, Akainu, despite being emotionless, admits he was stunned what she did.

Great chapter overall, and can't wait to see what happens next.

Akainu wasn't stunned just surprised. Seems like the time skip theory thats being talked about is really going to happen. About Moria though Don Flamingo said he just vanished so I'm thinking his old subordinate(Morias) that lion dude who could turn invisible came and saved his ass maybe. Just a thought.

Ok i was surprised about Bonney and her connections to the world Government.

Ok, somehow Trafalgal (or what his name is) act abit suspicious about the throne of being the King of Pirates... Did he do something to Luffy when he was treating him...

The new World totally sucks right now.. if im there... ima go back

Im happy to see that they realized they're main function as Luffy's Crew and somehow they themselves initiate the effort to improve themselves

Knowing Oda, he probably did find some way to survive. Though Moria did seem like the weakest of the Shichibukai, so if he really died it wouldn't make much difference.

I'm guessing that Bonney used to work the Marines and she witnessed them do something horrible that made her decide to quit.

Anyway, this chapter was pretty good. It gave us some insight on even more of the other pirates that will become very important later on. Also, Chopper needs to learn to keep his thoughts to himself. laugh

It is a bit interesting that they sent Akainu to retrieve her, but I guess it isn't surprising since it was Blackbeard they were dealing with.

Wonder how long the timeskip will be.

Based on what Chopper and Sanji are doing, my guess is that Luffy's message was "become stronger." The fact that he so calmly returned to the place his brother died could express that he made the resolution to become stronger. And once the crew become stronger, they'd meet again. Maybe ringing the bell 16 times means they'd meet again in 16 days? Though, I wonder if that's a reasonable amount of time to become stronger...16 weeks?

Gah! I hope the timeskip isn't too long! B-b-because I don't want the crew to change...

Hahaha

Anyways, hilarious chapter. I especially loved the part with Sanji. And I wonder who Bonney is? Wouldn't it be interesting if she was one of the Tenryuubito? Or--maybe-- Akainu's daughter?

The chapter's only done but confirmed my belief that the message Luffy's sent to his crewmates was to not reunite after two years've passed. Law stated that One Piece isn't going away anytime soon, also it will take Blackbeard and the Supernovas a while to establish themselves in the New World. Chopper and Sanji've decided to stay where they are and keep on improving their knowledge and abilities. Moreover, it'll take them a while to study the entire library of the Torino Kingdom and learn the Newkama Kenpo. I'm actually pretty sure Zoro will stay on Kuraigana Island to improve under Mihawk's guidance. Usopp is going to stay on the Boin Archipelago to loose some flesh, I'm sure Robin'll stay with the Revolutionaries for the up and coming 2 years, so she'll find out about all the dirty moves made by the World Government which the Dragon's army's found about and who knows, maybe be trained by Dragon himself? Franky is going to get all the new parts for his body to replace those he lost during the Nightmare of the Balgimore. And of course Luffy who is gonna be guided by Rayleigh in mastering Haki, so that he'll be ready to enter the New World. The training appears to be a tough and thorough one to actually take 2 years to fully master. Though, no matter how I look at it, I don't know how will Brook progress and get stronger as I'm not 100% sure what situation he's in and who are the people that are holding him captive. He's in quite a difficult situation nonetheless. But the following chapters'll provide some answers, So yeah, I think the time-skip is actually drawing nigh. smile

@Aeylis, Jewelry Bonney is one of the Eleven Supernovas - rookie pirates who've arrived on the Sabaody Archipelago with bounties over hundred million beli.

well the back story of the bells tells us that when the bell is rung 16 times it marks the end of one year and the beginning of another. so I'm thinking the time skip will be about a year. the meeting place is probably back at sabaody archipelago, seeing how thats where the thousand sunny waits

BUcek: why do you think it'll be 2 years like what clues did you pick up to assume that?

Wasn't ringing the bell main point to gain the crew's attention, so that they see the tattoo and know to stay were they are and get stronger in the upcoming two years? I'm sure Rayleigh told Luffy that Kuma was Revolutionaries' spy in the World Government and told him about the motives of separating them.

@Veltwolfsleer, In fact, I don't know. I'm just assuming. It seems a reasonable ammount of time for the Straw Hats to do what they have to. As of Chapter 595, we know that Chopper is going to study Torino Kingdom's library and Sanji's going to learn Attack Cuisine. The library is an enormous one and Sanji has to beat 99 masters of the Okama Kenpo. It just has to take a long time. smile

There's too much going on for a 2-yr timeskip. The world could be unrecognisable and most of the major players dead or defeated or retired in 2 years, the way this is going. (Don't get where this 2 year prediction is coming from either).
16 weeks could be right, but if the key is something completely out-of-character for Luffy, like Rayleigh said, then it could just be 'wait for me & when I'm finished I'll do something else random and get on the news again'. I don't like the idea of any time-skips, but the amount of twisted subverting of manga cliches this guy does, I'm starting to get interested in what his idea of a training arc is. I mean if determination and persistence and giving up years of your life isn't enough, even for the guy with the biggest determination supply in mainstream manga, then what exactly do you have to do to get stronger?

Blackbeard's skill and success in strategic fleeing almost makes me like the guy.

I also like the troll colour-page. 'Bwahahahaha, you thought you might find out what Luffy's tattoo says this chapter, but instead you get a pic of the Straw-hats with tattoos that look like they were drawn by Luffy after everyone passed out from too much rum'.

& I take it this chapter will add exponentially to the amount of porn that turns up when you image-search Jewelry Bonney.. no must be so weird being a little kid with internet access these days..

I definitely feel a time skip coming on.

I think everyone thinks 2 years cause of Naruto.
That doesn't make any sense. What will Luffy be doing for that long?
I'd say half a year. A year at most.

I know that 2 years is a very, very long time in the One Piece universe that it's just unthinkable to happen, but hey, hasn't Oda done that plenty times before? smile And no, Calibre, I'm not taking the 2 years time from Naruto. The tattoo Luffy has or had if it was eraseable, had SA crossed and 2Y. I said I'm not certain and am not a fan of speculating what's going to happen instead of reading the real thing myself, but the idea crossed my mind that it might be "Don't come over Sabaody Archipelago until two years've passed." This in fact is only a foretelling, I, myself, am not certain if it's true, but like previously said, Oda's keeping on getting our minds mixed and then come with an unforeseeable yet amazing thing to happen. smile
