Today me and my friend were simply chatting up and this question came up.
How many of us have actually used up an eraser ?
Then we realised that the eraser we own usually gets lost before it even becomes small enough to throw it away.
So I decided to make this random poll

I vaguely remember using up an eraser when I was younger. Literally used it up until it crumbled into dust.
Now however, when they get small I just chuck them. They're difficult to handle when they get too small.

Yeah, every now and then. I don't lose erasers easily, they go in the toolbox when I'm done with them.

Aside from tests, I use pens for most things, so I cant say I have.

lol, yeah this poll is kind of random but me and my friend tried to finish our erasers too and she lost hers and mine became too small to use so it became annoying on tests and stuff. So actually, no I haven't, that's a really good question.

Only the ones on pencils. I'm a pen person anyways, though.

I used up a lot of erasers on top of my mechanical pencils. I have some hand held erasers that I never use cause they are too cute to destroy, little animals and snacks...

Yeah, I have. I use pencils whenever I can ('cause I make lots of mistakes lol), so I have to make the erasers last as long as is humanly possible  I'm careful with my stuff, so they don't get lost easily. I've chucked some when they got too small to handle properly, though.
Dunno why, but I hardly ever use up the one of top of the pencil (whether mechanical or normal)...I think it's because a used-up eraser makes the pencil look like it's missing something...maybe

@Lucemia: Yea! I used to collect little shaped erasers as a kid! I have no clue where they are now though...
I actually Found a big eraser from a long time ago! I use it now but it doesn't work so well being so old.
Oh yea I also love to draw little pictures on my erasers

I don't usually used all of my erasers, but I buy new ones every school year and keep my old stuff for sentimental value. :> We've been through a lot of test and ridiculous essays...
One time, though, my teacher thought I was cheating because my eraser had a cover on it. (Sheesh, I had more integrity than putting chemical formulas on my eraser). Now, I associate these writing complement with my bad experience of cynical teachers.

Regardless of the pencil, I have the compulsion not to used the accompanying eraser too. It probably look dirty.

And no, I never finish an eraser, except for the ones on a pencil.
