For one thing, I have a question for those that have read as far as the latest manga releases - is there any hint that the manga will follow the same plot trajectory as the 2nd season of the anime?
Spoiler (highlight to view)
With, you know, Ciel coming back to life after Sebastian TRIED to claim him and failed, and the whole Alois Trancy thing and the other demonic butler, Claude.
Does anyone know whether Toboso Yana has planned to reflect these developments in the manga, or will they be strictly anime-verse? Since the manga and the anime obviously don't always see eye to eye.
So what do people think of this season? I admit to having been somewhat bored by episodes 2-4, because there was very little real plot development, and the episodes felt like fillers - but I *loved* the first episode for introducing us to Alois and Claude (and by implication, the long-term plot), and I adored episodes 5-6 for delivering on the promise of that plot.
EPISODE SIX WAS MADE OF EPIC WIN, OMG. JUST. All that plotty goodness! And Sebastian doing that and the demon contract he made with Claude and...!
Okay, so here's my thing...
Spoiler (highlight to view)
---- Sebastian is unusually attached to Ciel! Claude says so! (And Sebastian demurs, but really, dude, y'aint foolin' nobody.)
----- Sebastian makes a VOLCANO EXPLODE when he realizes that another demon touched Ciel's soul, he's so jealous and enraged. Yeah, you keep tellin' people you aren't "unusually attached," man. But it really would have to suck to spend all those years polishing Ciel like a jewel, only to have that jewel nicked from your knapsack! I totally get why Sebastian wants to gut Claude and decorate the Phantomhive mansion with his entrails (at least, that's what Sebastian's hatred of Claude looks like).
---- BUT THEN SEBASTIAN PIMPS CIEL OUT TO CLAUDE????? Did I see this right? I mean, I get that Sebastian doesn't intend to do that at all, what with his repeated declarations of "Bochhan is MINE >:O >:O >:O" - but doesn't the new blood-contract he signs with Claude entail that once Ciel has achieved his second revenge, his soul will go to Claude? Wtf? Is Sebastian planning to break his contract with Claude? But aren't demon contracts, like, srs bzns? Wouldn't Sebastian die or something (or be condemned to an eternity of torment, I dunno) if he didn't follow through on his contract and let Claude have Ciel? Or is there something in the small print of their contract that I'm not seeing, or something violable in the wording, some loophole that Sebastian plans to take advantage of? SOMEONE, PUT ME OUTTA MY MISERY. Because given the whole spiel about, like, how Sebastian desperately wants to taste Ciel's soul, and the fact that it looks like Sebastian has NEVER EVER wanted a meal so badly before in his entire demon LIFE, I find it freaking hard to believe that he's bartered Ciel's soul away, for any reason. My guess is that he's going to use this contract to avenge himself on Claude, somehow, and destroy Claude instead (or maybe destroy him before the terms of the contract can even be met?), but I know that it sounds far-fetched, so. Someone explain this to me. :ohno: I'm lost.
---- MEYRIN IS BISEXUAL?????? What was with her salivating over Hannah, Trancy's maid? I thought it was hilarious how she blushed when Hanna licked her fingers, lol. (Well, so did the other Phantomhive servants, but they're guys, they're supposed to get arouse when a lovely lilac-haired lady in a revealing bodice sucks on her own fingers. Just. Meyrin? You wanna tell us something? :D :D
----- Nothing on the planet is going to convince me that Claude isn't using some form of sexual control to keep his already-abused master in line. Yet another thing that makes me hate him, sorta, because it's such a crude way of doing things, compared to Sebastian's pure, flawless professionalism.

....Aaaaaand that's about it. Could someone discuss this ep with me? PRETTY PLEASE? I seriously need to get that whopping revelation about Ciel's soul outta my system, or at least into the air. Lol.
Seriously, does the manga give us any clue about the ritual of soul-claiming that Sebastian plans on doing, in a way that further illuminates this episode? Please help!!!
