I think my name is one of the harder ones to guess.
This topic brings to mind the tale of "Rumpelstiltskin" by the Brothers Grimm; as a promise the queen had made to a goblin, he would have her first son, unless she could guess his name, which is, as you might have guessed, "Rumpelstiltskin"!
Your's truly's goblin-name is ****.
Although guessing my name wins you no trophies or sons

It depends who's hearing it. Most people love it. Lame people always make virgin jokes. A few think it's a stripper name... which is weird, do they know any strippers named Cherry? Anyway, I really like my name. It sounds good no matter who's saying it.

Mayeline pronounced (Mai-je-lean) everybody pronounces it wrong...
But everybody calls me Maymay, or LunaMay (because of my middle name) hence the username

It's true. You have a lovely name. 
Stupid jerks don't deserve saying cute things.
Apart from my birth given name which I like, I call myself Luna Solaris. (both letters are from the actuall name and surname).
It's something I came up with when I first came upon a regestration thingie asking for my real name.

My name is Monique but most people just call me Nikki, back at school it drove my teachers all crazy because they didn't know what to call me XD
But despite what other's may think the nick name was actually derived from my name!

Lol, my Dad is worse, he nicknames me stuff like Chicken little and Nicknack and it spreads surprisingly fast *sigh*
