So is anyone else going to see this? I just came back from it and it was surprisingly good. There was only one problem I had with the movie version though.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
For some reason Roxanne gets Envy's weakness, where the back of her knees is her "special spot". And because of that one touch Roxanne loses.

Nah. The comics were alright, but I really just liked them for the art style. The plot is ridiculously silly and suffers from a major case of male gaze.
Plus, I'm starting to kind of hate Michael Cera.

The movie was alright, though the random jokes made it entertainable.

As for the graphic novels, I really enjoy the pace of the story, from beginning to end, and the art style, though simplistic, where nevertheless quite good.

I do look forward to see Bryan Lee O'Malley's next work when it comes out.smile

When I saw this, I was confused too laugh I guess it was rewritten for some reason.

I really enjoyed the movie. Especially Wallace's scenes biggrin

Despite disliking the archtype portrayed by Michael Cera (I suppose he is definitely type-casted), the film was much better than I expected. It's a pop culture movie; I'm not confident that it's popularity will last too long...

There is some good music in it (anyone notice Anthems for a 17 Year Old Girl playing in one of the scenes with Knives?) biggrin

saw it. Was good. I'd say it'll become one of those cult favorites. Honestly though, I think I'd rather have seen Lost at Sea made into a movie just because they wouldn't have to cut so much out of it to make it a movie.

Best parts of the movie were definitely the vegan police high fiveing after they stopped ex number 3 and the 200 step rail laugh laugh laugh

This movie surprised me. I didn't care for it when I first saw the previews, but I became curious after seeing that it was getting some pretty damn good reviews. So, I saw it and enjoyed it immensely. It had some pretty good comedy. The visuals popped out, and I usually don't place much merit in that aspect. However, it played a big role in this movie. The music was also pretty good. The amp battle was my favorite part of the movie. Most importantly, I loved the video game theme fighting style. And the fights were pretty intense. Michael Cera, the badass. Never thought I'd see that.

One of the few good movies of the year. I would consider it the second best movie of the year (Inception being the best, of course). However, as much as I enjoyed this movie, I think it's sad that this caliber movie is the second best movie of the year.

Ain't released here in Ireland until the 25th I think, but I'm looking forward to it. Comics are enjoyable as well.

I saw this with my friends and wasn't really interested in going, but it turned out to be a lot better than I expected. It didn't have a great plotline or anything but it was pretty funny and really neat to watch.

"Step up your game, Scott. Break out the L-word."
"Lesbian?"
"The other L-word."
"Lesbians?"

"I'm in lesbians with you."

XD

Michael Cera was not a good Scott Pilgrim, at all. You have Cera who's completely awkward and nerdy, trying to play the part of an awesome, I-kick-ass Scott Pilgrim. The end result? A totally awkward nerdy version of Scott Pilgrim.

While the story line was a bit ridiculous, but what do you expect from trying to cram 6 volumes of the comics into a 2-hour movie? I thought the movie was pretty funny though.
