so
Shiho getting shot by a SNIPER...

The police and the man behind the scenes ploted to shot her with a sniper rifle to piss the Dragon off? but they had to kind of blame it on the martial artists...so... well...hmm
sure they had given the glasses boy a gun in a previous volume but...how could they have known that
1.she was going to be there
2.that the 4eyes was going to show up while they where fighting on the roof
3.that he would not simply just killed the dragon with his first bullet
4.that shioh was going to jump infront of the bullets
5.that they cared for each other so much that he would go berserk if she died

how could someone get shot by a sniper and noone would notice the sudden thugg in her body
not even herself
since she didnt die right away...she if anyone should have felt being shot a 3rd time from another angle at a later point in time

this is what is pissing me off
everything was building up
and you kind of felt that he was going to show up and shoot Shioh or wound the kid
but not that silly part with the sniper rifle...that was just impossible to plan that everything would happen like that

for if the Dragon had noticed that shioh was killed by a sniper
he might not have snapped and tried to kill everyone
and would have went over to kill the one who shot her instead

also...i mean...if they had looked at her dead body...they would have seen the 3rd bullet wound in her body, leg, someplace where you bleed alot from
but no

for me this is where everything goes bad
i do not look forward to reading this anymore

that sniper rifle and the story behind it is so bad that i feel sad...i feel sad that i ever liked it

am i the only one that got sad?

Actually, as much as I didn't care for the sniper addition to the story, I'm guessing it needed to be made so that we realize that the group Goomoonryong is working for is truly the main antogonist.
After re-reading all the chapters yesterday, I came to the realization of these many points. At first I thought that the sniper scene was incredibly bad (it is definitely the worst written scenario in the whole manga and the only thing I didn't enjoy), but again I do understand it's necessity. To answer your questions:

1) The organization that sniped them is the same one they work for, the Black Forest Defence Group. Of course they knew Shiho was going to be there, they know where all their people are. Hence, Sosul able to fly there in a heli with other people who worked for the BFDG.
2) Look at the sniper...it's the same guy as the one who got his gun stolen, the one that the 4 eyes uses to shoot Shiho. He is the same guy who met with Goomoonryong and convinced him to go to Koa Business Tower. How did he know they'd end up on the roof? Well, I can't answer that only explain it as something like they had it set up as a plan B?
3) 4 eyes isn't an expert marksman, and he's trying to shoot Goomoonryong. Come on, would ANYONE assume that he could kill him with one shot?
4) I think this goes back to a part of my answer I used in 2. My belief is that the killing Shiho to enrage Goomoonryong was definitely planned out. But I think that BFDG thought she'd die by the Murim's hands (which she pretty much did) and was simply making SURE of her death with the sniper rifle. I know they wouldn't have shot her themselves if 4 eyes didn't.
5) Everyone in the BFDG saw how Shiho and Goomoonryong acted with each other. It was obvious to everyone else that they cared for each other before they admitted it to themselves. (We can see this because Shioon brings it up quite a few times many chapters before this Koa business tower)

They explained it in one of the chapters how she was snipped with no one noticing. A huge raging battle is going on, how could anyone possibly notice? Chapter 62, page 18, I'm pretty sure they show the bullet's path and when it enters Shiho's body. Her eyes suddenly flare open. The next page you see blood flying out of her body. The evil Master Roshi looking guy comes to a realization that something is also amiss when he asks why she is bleeding so much. But it's too late at that point.

I think it isn't sad that you ever liked the manga, but sad you would come to regret reading it when you should clearly read it again. If you go back and re-read the whole story you'll come to understand my points and see that the setting up of Goomoonryong was well-planned by BFDG and that the sniping was merely insurance, just something to make sure Shiho would die of her wounds so that Goomoonryong would go berserk like they wanted.

while it was a depressing part i would have to say that i did expect it and it is meant to open up a different part of the plot with the sunwoo clan i wonder how that will turn out.

Yes, just you.

Not much of a shocker or anything to get sad about if you've been paying attention to the series thus far. roll

the thing is you can add lots more on those 5 points i made
what if shioh would not have been there...seriously what if
what if she would not have been in an angle for the sniper
what if she had stayed with the guy who was in love with her
if the kid had not come and rescue them they would have been dead before they reached the roof
the kid was super strong and he could transfer ki into the dragon...if not then he might have died from the gunshot wound or by kame senin...atleast he would have not been able to get into his Super form
what if the Dragon had died in the tower...that was what would have happened if the kid didnt show up

the point is...alot of things could have gone wrong in their planning and would have if not for the kid...whom they knew nothing or atleast very little about

then the sniper on the roof and everything else would have been pointless
and the dragon would not have awakened

i get what you say and i agree with everything

but when plans involve so much luck for it to succed
even if you can explain them
it feels like a horrible dues ex machina

if they wanted her dead they could have just planted a guy at the roof that took care of her when kame senin was fighting the Dragon
would have been a million times better
and alot more belivable...and a sound and good plan
and he would have snapped...and their would have been no reason for me or anyone else to feel pissed off about the farfetched story they went with

or why not just kill her off in her home and making it obvious that martial artists did it
would have been another good plan
would have been the same result

what they did on the other hand
was bad

I think you're looking at it wrong. The plan went exactly as they thought it would. You're putting too much emphasis on the sniper shot. The plan never counted on that, it was merely a precaution. The plan for the BFDG is simply to draw out the "purest" form of the Black Heaven Technique.

If Shiho had not been there, Goomoonryong doesn't expend all his ki trying to protect her. That was made clear in the manga. Then he could easily have taken on the higher ups.

They were on an open rooftop, how could a sniper not have a clear angle? He just has to position himself higher up on another building.

If she had still been unconscious and still been with the guy who was in love with her, I still believe that Goomoonryong would have become berserk. It's made abundantly clear in the manga how much he desired revenge for his Master's death. And what better way to make someone go berserk than to have him confront the man who caused it.

If Shioon hadn't showed up, then yes, they would have died. I'll agree that WOULD have gone against all the planning, but Shiho and Shioon showing up were ALSO against the plans of the BFDG.

This next point kind of rolls into the last one, so no real point in addressing it. If they don't plan on Shioon being there, then of course they wouldn't imagine the transfer of ki and such.

If Goomoonryong dies in the tower then their plan has obviously failed. Not even sure how this is a point, in any mission you go into you know there is a risk that it won't go the way you want it to and that it could fail miserably.

The point is, that the plan was to get Goomoonryong into Koa Tower and unleash the "pure" form of the Black Heaven Technique. A lot of what they planned to happen went south, with Shiho, Shioon, and even Sosul showing up. But, they had a trump card and shot Shiho before she could get to Sosul. The way you're looking at it is that the BFDG planned all this out to shoot Shiho. I think it's pretty obvious to anyone reading this manga that not only is it impossible for that to happen, but it'd be terrible storytelling. I think that this sort of thought comes along because the chapters have so much time inbetween them when they come out and are translated, that we've forgotten all the earlier clues and foreshadowing that's gone on.

I was honestly happy they killed her off. She was just getting really annoying in my opinion. Her only purpose seems to have been panty shots/big tits. She interfered with the main characters master too often and I didn't like her too much.

The thing is that they really didn't care that much about the execution of their plan as long the dragon spapped. I mean, they just let the the Murim do all the job, they didn't really need to anything. It's like they were looking from behind the escenes, looking for a opportuny to strike. That's the main reason they wanted the dragon, because he would do the dirty job for them.
