i just finshed watching FLCL (a.k.a fooly cooly) and i loved it (its messed up but still) im almost mad at myself for not watching it long ago... well anyway back on topic do any of you know a anime or manga thats just as good or even better that i should have watched/read ages ago (and please don't put the obvious ex. naruto, bleach, one piece)

Liar Game, Kurohime, Mirai Nikki, Paradox Blue, Kyousou no Simulacra, Witch Hunter, The Breaker, and Anima Cal Livs. Those are just a few of my favorites that aren't as mainstream like naruto, bleach and etc.

Be more specific? Good differs from person to person. Are you looking for something like flcl? If so I think neon genesis evangelion came from the same guy.

FLCL is unique. Nothing is like FLCL.

ok then a anime/manga that is know for being good or great and it dosent matter if it came from Yōji Enokido and i would much prefer an anime just beacuse i've read alot of manga but if its manga that's ok to (and if it has a good soundtrack it dosen't hurt) sorry if this is asking for to much

Something that gave me the same sort of 'why do I like this?' feeling was Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagan

This is really broad... Phantom: requiem for the phantom, macross frontier, daughter of 20 faces, dennou coil, baka to test to shokanjuu, etc. Theres a lot so if you're looking for anime you should check out an anime database like myanimelist.net or some other site.

Noir - the first of Bee trains girls with guns anime. I also happen to think its the best of the three(the other two being Madlax and El Cazador de la Bruja)

Here is Greenwood - A shoujo series with plenty of hoyay but none of it is real. Think of it as a very early, very scary version of "The Game" between two of the main protagonists . Except for those two guys who are only seen like twice in the manga who actually are gay.

that's cause Gainax did both series. Since TTGL was like their big twenty year anniversary show they pretty much used everything they'd done before in all their other anime to make it

Forgot to add The Twelve Kingdoms and Eureka seven, especially if you want some shows with great music.
