Cool Main Female

Member 5:40 pm, Aug 20 2010 Posts: 8	Do you know any manga wherein the main girl is really strong and cool like Sakurakouji in CODE BREAKER and Hiyono from SPIRAL? Girls who are always "in" when it comes to action or can fight side by side with the main male (Well, I don’t mean she literally fights side by side with the main male – but that can also be a good thing – but she’s, you know, a great support to the main) and she does things that are totally unexpected. Main male can be cold to the main female or he’s just cold all-in-all but eventually changes because of her. He also protects her but it doesn’t mean she needs one; it’s just that she’s too prone to trouble because of her reckless and I-don’t-want-to-be-left-out attitude I would really love it if there’s a romance or a hint of it between the female and male. But it doesn’t need to be the main focus. I hate main females who are weak, too emotional and always cry which is really common in romance shoujo manga so I would prefer if it’s a shounen manga but don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t mean I hate shoujo ...you can recommend it to me as long as it fits my criteria. I would prefer it if the manga is long and complete but that’s OPTIONAL. **HOPE YOU COULD HELP ME...THANKS.THANKS.THANKS**

Member 11:30 pm, Aug 20 2010 Posts: 461	Nurarihyon no Mago Yuuki Onna is both literally and metaphorically cool. So far, she's been involved in all the major storylines (both fighting alongside Rikuo and supporting him), and there's romance to boot. (As much as there can be in shonen manga, that is.) Edit: Totally forgot about Aoi from Beelzebub. Technically the main female was supposed to Hilda, who is also strong and cool, but I think Hilda is sort of a tank character, so they don't use her too much. On the other hand, they use Aoi a lot, I think because she's a more conventional hero than Oga. (And Aoi has a crush on him, but he's oblivious so far, so there you go: a hint of possible romance.) Member 12:07 am, Aug 21 2010 Posts: 24	Have you tried History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi? - the main female, Miu, is very strong and cool, as is a secondary female character, Shigure. You might prefer Tatakae! Ryouzanpaku Shijou Saikyou no Deshi, which is the "prequel". Gokusen Bleach and 3x3 Eyes might also fit your criteria. Edit: You might give Change 123 a look, also.
