Luckily, manga/anime is basically unknown around here. So, this is a weeaboo-free country. Aaah, to be devoid of the frustrations you guys have is bliss... 
Also, foreign words are being adapted/implemented into other languages for a constantly. It's nothing new. English itself has words from French, German, ... Dutch. o__O Even Japanese has some Dutch words, haha. 
Only time will tell which words will be accepted, of course.

someone said "baka" to me today. and she is not interested in Japanese culture either. apparently she just found it cute and had the urge to use it. 
give me a knife and i will go and stab her.

No I dont mix Langues,it sounds stupid.
Maybe when I watch an Anime or read a Manga but that is rare.

Hey, did you know that "anime" and "manga" are Japanese?
I do it sometimes, but not if there's an acceptable English counterpart. I'm not going to say "kawaii" when I can say "cute," nor will I say "baka" when I could just say "idiot."
On the other hand, I'm not going to say "piece of food that consists of vinegar rice patted together under a slice of raw fish" when I can say "nigirizushi".
My translations follow the same principle.

What is SO wrong with mixing two languages? -_-;; I mix Vietnamese and English together all the time because sometimes I don't know the word in Vietnamese and have to say it in English. People don't always mix languages together because they want to, sometimes you don't have a choice.
But yeah, I never use Japanese in real life, I hardly do online unless I'm giving someone a nickname, like for g-17, I go oji-chan~

When that's the case, i accept it for what it is.
But, when they do it to seem cool or something like that...They can burn.

I guess it's fine if you're mixing your own native language with English(sometimes it's kinda easier explaining things when you mix) and if there are no practical English counterparts and if you're studying the language. But it's just wrong and weird if you mix it when you just wanna sound Japanese(when you're actually not) or you just wanna sound like an otaku.

Like many of the posters up there, i dont like mixing languages unless there isnt a proper English counterpart for the word/term. Or as someone else mentioned, the lack of language prowess. Other instances when i dont mind the usage would be when it's a slang used to express a cultural-specific idea.
What i cant stand is when people start squeezing words into proper sentences just for the whole "i-wanna-show-off-my-super-limited-foreign-language-vocab -so-that-hopefully-someone-would-be-impressed". Most people who do that dont seem to know the language but are well, just trying to act cool or something. I get pissed because they usually mutilate the language while doing so (wrong context, wrong spelling, etc).

Sometimes accidentally IRL ill use japanese words like arigatou or kawaii and then catch myself too late... and see my mom looking at me as if i just grew another head ~_~ that was only when i watched Anime though and i picked up the words you hear a bazillion times and i guess i thought them too much, and one day i slipped up and actually said one.  but it was only once and to my family so. online i do it all the time~

The extent of incorporating Japanese words into an English conversation is (and I am sure this is the majority of people): Hey you want to go down to the sushi bar and get some Uni and Miso?

:] I use baka in a very agressive manner when I want to call someone an idiot but don't want them to know that I'm trying to say so. Except the "agressive" part kind of blew it away ><;;;

I personally find it kinda tacky to randomly interject japanese into conversations. There's a time and a place for it, and every day conversation isn't really one of them.

LOL i agree, and that just made my day
plus, if its not your language you're probably not going to pronounce it exactly right xD
i know when i attempt some simple japanese or korean it just sounds dumb
heck, even when i speak chinese (i'm chinese and fluent) it sounds awkward since i don't speak it often

Um~, but doesn't the whole world do this (extremely including Japan)! They mix in English wor.... or should I say engrish words in their sentences. I mix Japanese words only with my anime friends, I curse in other languages, so do many people, so I have no stinkin' idea why people get mad.
P.s I also mix english with my native language (Spanish)

So to sum up this topic. Do it purposely and your a loser. Do it by accident because you speak both languages, or because you don't know the word in that language, your good.
