so many times there'll be a love triangle and you just know how it's going to end up. i hate that. i like a little more mystery. the only two i can think of that i was really stumped for the majority of the story (and i've read a lot of manga) are fruits basket and vampire knight. fruits basket i didn't figure it out until the 15th book, and vampire knight....well, i still don't know . i'm not looking for something that is necessarily like one of those series, just something where the person the main character falls in love with isn't so obvious.

U_U For sure. Chapters a still being scanslated and aren't quite caught up to the raws, but even so far in (future chapters) And though it seems to be leaning to one, there's still the high possibility of the other! XD

I agree, I hate it when the love triangle's outcome is obvious. If it's obvious it's practically a spoiler and ya gotta read through the underdog's angst for nothing. I rather not have a triangle at all in that case.

thanks for the suggestions so far. i tried shiawase kissa sanchoume and loved it. i'll try some of the other ones next.

I don't agree with Shiawase Kissa Sanchoume. I actually found the outcome really obvious ever since the beginning, though I might be wrong as I haven't read the entire story. (enough, someone license it already I wanna buy it!)

Hana Yori Dango - fits for the first couple volmues or so. Very good read anyway
Gokusen - Josei and romance isn't the main theme but it's funny as hell
Shugo Chara! - well kinda, I don't think it was ever resolved, even at the end of the manga. And personally I think it's a bit childish, but to each their own.
Anedoki and To-LOVE-Ru are ecchi shounens, but they fit as well
School Days - well this is alot darker, like ALOT, but it fits
Yurara - memory is a little foggy but I think this fits as well
And I know I'm forgetting one but I'll edit if it comes to me.

yes, shiawase kissa sanchoume is kind of obvious. but i think it will get a little more complicated than it has been so far.

I found Strobe Edge to be really obvious and my guess turned out to be correct. I wasn't even that into that manga. I read through it quickly possibly missing important details and I was still right.

Nana: So many screwed up relationships.

Bokura Ga Ita: Not because of the love triangles but because I can see the author giving it a bitter ending and having no one end up together or giving it an open ending.

school days had a clear relationship at the end just not in the middle that is why makoto died.
