This may be difficult smile

I'm looking for a manga with characters having a complicated, tragic relationship - hating and loving each other at the same time.
I searched the forums, but all topics seem to be about lovers that become enemies or enemies that become lovers, which is not what I'm looking for.

The best example I can think of is the relationship between Kikyo and Inuyasha from Inuyasha. Although there's a lot of hatred between them, they can's stop thinking about each other.

If what I want is still not clear, I'll try to explain again smile
I'm not interested in ecchi, hentai, yuri and things like that. I'd prefer it wasn't a smut manga, unless it's very good.

i think ur misunderstanding the term tsundere, Tsundere's are people who like the person but are 2 shy to admit so they pretend to act the opposite. they dont hate them

You are also misunderstanding tsundere. It's not shy, it's unwillingness to admit to themselves that they like the person.

In addition, I believe the OP is in fact looking for tsundere.

Ranma 1/2 -- Although considering that it is the same person as who did Inuyasha, you might have already heard of it.

Tsundere might be what you are looking for but I think it is Yandere. Meaning, you show affection for someone, a very strong affection but usually yanderes are crazy/become crazy and in some manga/anime they hate what they love too.

I know a manga that suits that. The guy hates and loves the girl at the same time.
Watashi no Megane-kun It is REALLY intense.
I think Hot Gimmick is too?

Just search [url]http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?category=Yandere[/ url]

I think he means in a deeper way that tsunderes hate their lover. Tsunderes hit people when they are angry, its not really hate. .

I know of several, but I cant remember the names right now. I know specifically of one with this cultural difference where the girl hates the other race because they all killed her family or something. A guy is maybe the son of the one who killed them? She absolutely hates this guy. To the point of her wanting to kill him. but she also falls in love with him and its really hard for her to get over her hatred of him and his people.

Il be back in a bit to edit-in an actual answer since that was just a vague description. lol sorry im not of more help right now.

Would have to second Basara.

A personal preference of mine is enemies with Unresolved Sexual Tension, so a lot of what I love to read falls under that. But it's not exactly "enemies become lovers" because the tension between the characters is usually great enough to prevent them from actually loving each other... if that makes any sense whatsoever.

Anyways... recs.
My Personal Recs
Glass Mask - very classic shoujo sparkly
Threads of Time - seinen time travel thing; relationship very complicated
Please Save my Earth - it's... complicated; a bit less "hate" than the others but just as much issues

The Somewhats
Dragon Knights - a strange manga that starts out all comical but then gets lots of really complicated relationships; good luck finishing the series since it's rather hard to find the second half
Princess - MIGHT have what you're looking for; I only got about 5 volumes in before I got distracted by something else so I can only go by what I've heard from other people
Legend of Nereid - very similar to Basara, but I didn't like it as much

Thanks a lot ^^ I've already read Basara, but it was a very long time ago and I've almost forgotten what it was about, I think it's a good time to reread it. I've also read "Please save my Earth", but it's a very good suggestion, it's exactly what I'm looking for smile
All other titles sound very interesting, I'll definitely read them, thanks again smile

Girl in Heels
He throws her out a window at one point. lol
The Tarot Cafe The ending is the best ending I have ever seen in my life, period.
100% Perfect Girl (Absolutely perfect. Just read the last volume today and she gives this gorgeous speech at the end that is exactly what you're looking for: "If I'm hurting a man, it'll have to be him. Fighting, regretting, and even apologizing... I'll be doing it with him." Very cuute.

Theses are all shoujo though :/

For as much as this thread has been derailed by arguments and loose definitions, I am glad to see it is back on track.

Although the hate is not mutual, it is indeed hate. I would recommend Kimi no Sei.
