Hi all,
I trying to find any manga based on the following criteria:
1. Must be a fantasy manga (magic in modern times, completely fantastical world, magical girl, etc...)
2. The amusement park (for at least a chapter or for some important part of the plot)
3. I would be most interested in manga that were also adapted for anime, but that's not a must.

The only one I can think of right now that fits is in Shugo Chara where there's an episode where Ami and Ikuto go to an abandoned amusement park to reminisce and learn more about each other. Thanks for any suggestions everyone!

There's a really great episode of Cowboy Bebop set in an amusement park. It's called Pierrot Le Fou and it's awesomely artsy.

Cowboy Bebop is a cool series and that episode was great too.

Anyway, there are a few I can remember. More from the anime versions though.
Cardcaptor Sakura had an amusement park.
So did Sailor Moon.

That's all I know yet.

Yu-Gi-Oh!
Gunnm book 8... though, I doubt you'd want to read it...
Spoiler (highlight to view)
the horses on the carousel are real living horses that are pinned to the carousel with metal poles piercing their bodies.

Seconding Karneval - it's a really cute manga, and while the amusement park scenes don't play a huge role, it's a good read if you enjoy fantasy themes.

There was also a chapter in volume 2 of di(e)ce where the characters are trapped inside a creepy amusement park - but that part ended pretty quickly. It might come up again later in the story, but I'm not sure.

Isn't there an amusement park of some sort in Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru? Or am I just making that up?

Nope - there is something like that. The latest scanlated chapter (Vol. 3, Ch. 15) ends with three of the characters entering it - but I doubt the amusement park will play any role in the story after they've completed the rescue mission and defeated the enemy who has made it her territory. But, you never know, right?

Replica has a seriously awesome (but very creepy) amusement park scene somewhere in the last 3-4 releases (can't remember exactly where, but it's there). There are elements of magical science and animated lifeforms or 'dolls' brought to life from otherwise non-organic material, so I guess it counts as a sci-fi/fantasy mix?

Enjoy! biggrin

Ao no Futsumashi has both, fantasy and a scene with some amusement park ^^ Just some scene though, it's not very important...
