This was so ANNOYING! I am not someone who read comments before reading a manga, so when I started to read Shinseiki Evangelion: Gakuen Datenroku, I was so surprised that it ended so abruptly, and a half-assed finished ending to boot!! Grrr!!

I'm also talking about you, Zombie Hunter and Double Arts!

I mean I know how hard is it to make a manga. BuT please please for the love of whoever, make a decent ending of it.......these mangas have great start and a decent storyline, but the ending just don't cut it...If they were not sure about continuing it, why not just make a oneshot?

Are there other mangas such as this that you know? Please share so I can avoid it...sad

I'm sorry...this is just so saddening..(If this is a duplicate thread, please delete..)

It's not uncommon for manga to get cancelled. If they're not doing well in the magazine they're being published in, they're told that they have a few chapters left before it stops running, and they have to somehow end the story by then. Please understand that there are implications that are beyond the control of the manga creators.

Hmmm yes. I guess you're right..sad
It's just so sad that the manga you've been really interested (and waiting for weeks) suddenly ended...

The only one I know of is Double Arts which you just mentioned,
& I agree that the ending was very sudden, but the mangaka seemed to turn the ending into quite a good final chapter! biggrin

There's a "Rushed Ending/Axed" tag:

http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?category=Rushed+E nding%2FAxed

Some of these were, indeed pretty painful. Change Guy got axed at 31 volumes. bigrazz

Personally, I was especially bummed about Me and the Devil Blues. It's still a great series though, so I definitely wouldn't say to avoid it because of the ending.

Mangakas rarely end the series of their own will unless it has ran for a long time, most of the time its cause their rating were so low they were dropped by the magazine so if you wanna help prevent that, then subscribe to the original publisher and submit the review cards

Only series I know that the Mangaka dropped was Zombie Powder which is by Tite Kubo

I'm still hoping it gets picked up by IKKI like with Gunjo. cry

Fire Candy ... I really wish this was longer, or had some kind of ending. The two volumes that are there were amazing.
Unfortunately, it seems the mangaka has gone on to exclusively write porn.

No. There's:
Manga titles you wish would be scanlated.
Manga titles you wish were scanlated or revived.

The closest one to this topic is probably:
Completed mangas in need of a sequel.

But that's a bit different from what the OP posted~
