I'm 99% sure the ending will have Guts dying. Also 99% sure he'll die saving/protecting someone. Anyways, no matter how much effort is put into it I doubt the ending will ever be satisfactory for anyone smile There's just too many loose ends to wrap up, and too many expectations to be met.

I seroiusly can't see Gutts having a good ending, everybody else maybe, but Gutts no. It doesn't have to be a bad ending, maybe a decent one.

it really depends on what path he chooses really. being hell bent on revenge really hasn't given him much happiness on his path. plus it's clouded his eyes on Caska who's also been a very important reason for his moving on. it's like everyone in his group now has been trying to point out. he's going to have to stop looking for his own despair like has been doing before Caska got lost. the way i see it's possible for him and her to have a good ending so to say, but there's going to be a lot of other things he's going to have to give up along the way though. like his revenge on Griffith for example..... it's pretty much down to one or the other: healing Caska and managing to live out the rest of their lives, or spending the rest of his life in pursuit of getting revenge on Griffith. that's pretty much the only way it could go from there IMO. although whichever is chosen it's not going to be the end with that i think anyway. they're still branded sacrifices, they're always going to be targeted. not only that one of the God Hand also has some slight interest in Guts as well.

well she was very tsundere during the beginning, but when she and Gut's got together for that little while she was actually one of the sweeter characters i've ever seen. so i'm hoping she gets better somehow, for his sake at least. especially after what she's been through to i think, no matter how much you can hater her or not, she's suffered enough.

Either Gutts or Caska dies,
that's how I see it. Gutts kills Caska?

doubt it, he does love her so, it's like he would die though. he's already showing extreme wear and tear from using the Berserk Armor. if anything i could end up like him helping her all the way to the end but it took to much of a toll on his body he could survive long after it.

I don't see Caska dying anytime soon. The way i see it, they go to this Elf place, meet up with old man elf. Where guts is given the choice to either restore Caska to her former glory(a choice she may not desire) or leave her there and establish this as his base of operations(almost like Goto's hut). This way Caska will not be a source of distraction for Guts and he can go out and kick some Hawk ASS. This is unlikely though, i think, he'd be repeating history(leaving Caska alone) and we all know how that ended. On the other hand if her memory is restored, she will most likely be angry at Guts after which she will probably attempt suicide. Gut's saves her (Injuring himself in the process), various mushy dialog insues. Guts get's some eyes , and Caska vows revenge towards the person she once loved.

Yeah, that makes sense. Coz if old man Elf is as wise/badass as they say he is, Griffith should be very afraid of him. Just like that sorceress in the forest. This could be where Guts get's some major power boost or something gay like what Serpico has. Only time will tell smile

I'm really hoping for a happy ending, though Caska's going to messed up something feirce even if she gets her sanity back. I don't think Gutts is going to kill her or sacrificer her or anything ridiculus like that. He's willing to die for her, and chose to save her rather than fight Griffith.
As far as talk about that kid goes, I figure the kid they saw is quite likely an incarnation/body of the elf king they were talking about. When Gutts was raging didn't he see an elf telling him to stop just before Schierke pulled him back, and then the child was gone. And the fetus thing was pulled into the egg just before it hatched, i assumed it was reborn as Griffith.

From what the Skull Knight said in Volume 28, I'm all but certain it will go something like this: That Elf King on the island will heal Caska's mind, but for some reason she doesn't want Guts to continue hunting Griffith.
These are just speculations, though: Caska makes Guts choose between her, and having his revenge. Guts chooses the path of revenge and leaves her.

Yes, that's what I believe.

@Orka_n: At this point, I fully agree. I feel like Caska would rather pursue their child than revenge, and the critical point, in this entire series, really, will be the moment that Gutts makes the decision between love and hate (or something like that).

@Angelicdamon: Who'da thunk it? My first reaction was 'no way in hell', and while I disagree, I'll keep that in mind. This series can through the occasional curveball. (mad propz if you are correct, btw)

At this point, it looks like their relationship is going to be really rough in this (Millenium Falcon) and further arcs, but the fruit of this relationship is hard to tell.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
That kid from the beach might well be the thing that pulls them together; it is reasonable to assume that he is the 'fruit of their relationship.'

It will depend largely on whether or not Gutts can learn to control his rage quickly;
Spoiler (highlight to view)
he was scary enough w/o the berserker armor
At this point, things look hopeless; he's been too blinded by revenge to see and appreciate the things in front of him (I believe Gutts himself has said that before >_>). Its a shame, really.

I'd really like for Caska to help Gutts seek his revenge, but I imagine he would refuse her help, thinking that he would be endangering her. And I feel that, to truly pursue love in this retarded new world, they'd have to take Griffith out first.
