Yeah I got that feeling too, I don't understand why Tite didn't write Ichigo's last attack or form or whatever the hell it is devour all the spirit power in the area and destroy it completely, essentially turning Aizen and Ichi human. Would seem like a far more fitting end to Aizen, and would have went along with Ichigo losing his shinigami power, now it just seems pointless he even lost it in the first place.
