I'm looking for a manga in which the protagonist or their main love interest kills for love, as in, they actually take someone's life in the name of love.

Oh, and it has to be romantic love, not platonic/familial love.

Examples:

A is in love with B, but C tries to break the relationship or interfere, so A kills C, or both A and B kill C so that they can stay together.

A is in love with B, but B is in love with C, so A kills off C to get rid of a rival, or just out of jealousy.

A is in love with B, but B cheats on A with C, so A kills B and C. (Yes, killing their own love/crush is valid, as long as it's killing someone for 'love' - even the person they're in love with.)

A is in love with B, but B needs something (say, monetary support for a life-saving medical procedure), so A kills C, who has that thing (say, loads of money), in order to steal what is required.

A is in love with B, but B is hurt or killed by C, so A kills C for revenge. (A should not normally be a warrior/killer in this case; they've obviously killed only for revenge, and the killing should be a big deal to them, not just, "Oh, that's the 100th person I've killed - except it's for revenge, this time." So no action-packed shounen sagas in which the heros kill all the time, anyway.)

A is not the killing type, but is in love with B who does want to kill someone, and so is convinced by B to participate in the murder even though A would not normally have done such a thing.

A and B are both murderous psychopaths/sociopaths on a killing spree, who enjoy killing for each other or as a shared hobby. ("Darling, it's Valentine's Day, so I'm giving you a heart-shaped chocolate! Except that it's all heart and no chocolate." Or, "Roses are red and violets are blue, and so are week-dead bodies, which is why I love you. <3") Yay, compatible interests!

A kills himself/herself and forces B to die as well (murder-suicide, as opposed to voluntarily joint double-suicide).

A and B both commit a murder-suicide with their children/friends/acquaintances.

A and B love each other and are in bad/unsatisfactory financial straits, but one of them is set to inherit good money if a relative named C dies, so they decide to kill C and inherit C's fortune. Tsk, tsk.

A is in love with B but B keeps turning A down, so A snaps and, um, accidentally or deliberately ends up killing B.

A and B are in a relationship, but B is showing signs of wanting out (gee, I wonder why?) so A snaps and ends up killing B. ("I'd rather you were dead than with someone else!")

A is in love with B, but B is getting knowingly ripped-off/taken advantage of by C (maybe C is a deadbeat Dad with a gambling problem?) and so A secretly kills C to get rid of the nuisance, without telling B about it, as that would upset B. ("Oh, your Dad still isn't back yet? Hmm... Wonder where he went.")

...Etc.

Any manga like these? I'm happy with any genre at all, EXCEPT for hentai.

One manga I can already think of: "Romantic" from Transfigured Night. Man, that's one freaky murder. Yaoi, though it also contains straight sex.

Mirai Nikki - Yuno kills for love on a regular basis, because she's insane.
School Days - more insane.
Hallucination from the Womb - some of the stories in there. IIRC, the first one is about it in a creepy way.

Just search Yandere, you'll get what you're looking for.

Bunny Doubt has something like this, be warned though the ending is a complete mind-fuck.

Hmmm.... Have you tried Death Note ?
B kills because A wants to kill... AND:
Spoiler (highlight to view)
Umm...End=B suicides because A died... Though A didn't force the person to suicide... And the plot ain't focused on their love, more on the killings... And A doesn't love B back

Déjà-vu - the last story/one-shot of this volume is what you're looking for. "A is in love with B, but B is in love with C, so A kills off C to get rid of a rival, or just out of jealousy."

Hekikai no AiON - no one's killed anyone off just yet, but there are some tensions. I hope someone will kill the other person off, but i dunno......

Ayashi no Ceres - as you get into the story, say about.....6 volumes or so in, you start to see the "Killed for Love" bit where Mikagi gets all crazy.....Before that it's all....dark shoujo-y

I third Anne Freaks

it's about this crazy murderous girl who pulls this guy into helping her kill, even though he doesn't want to, because he's in love with her.

I also suggest Flowers of Evil

this one does have incest, though, so you have to deal with that. but i figure if you can handle psychopaths who love to kill, you can handle psychopaths who love their siblings.

You have to wait awhile for this one, but it ends up being very creepy and tragic. two people die and one person almost dies and it's all in the name of love (i.e. the love of the twins).

also, this manga very much so has the sense that one twin is sort of dragging the other down with them, even though they don't want to, which is part of the tragedy.

I'm not sure if this meets your criteria, but I'll suggest it anyway;
In Black and White, person A is asked to kill person B, a longtime friend (almost second father) to him, or person A's love interest will be killed.

That reminds me; in another of that author's works, Number Five, person A turns renegade on his brothers to run off with his love interest, and along the way is forced to kill them in order to continue his escape with her.

A lot of all CLAMP works involve something along those lines. I know Tokyo Babylon and X..
Spoiler (highlight to view)
I don't even know how to evaluate Seishirou with him being a murderer and assassin and all; CLAMP was evil and left the "..." when Subaru kills Seishirou in X even though Subaru was really in love with Seishirou; we can only assume the same from Sei... not to mention Seishirou kills Subaru's sister at the end of Tokyo Babylon.
.. confusing to explain that pair... Now for the rest of the X cast, well...
...Magic Knight Rayearth (
Spoiler (highlight to view)
Not really the main characters, but the Princess they've come to save actually called them there to kill her because she fell in love and it was forbidden and all; when her love dies she's the final enemy of MKR
), [m]Tsubasa: Reserviour Chronicle[/m] (
Spoiler (highlight to view)
The whole Fai, the real Fai, and Asura thing
), RG Veda (Too complicated to explain..), Clover (? Not sure if this would fit)... I'm unsure of if some fits as CLAMP characters die for many different reasons at many different times by their own hand, choice, accident, or otherwise...

Other series? Hn... Loveless..maybe.

Some Yuki Kaori works such as [m]Boy's Next Door[/m]... I love all of Kaori Yuki's works. <3

...Does Tomie count? That's the plot of the manga, the males all kill her because they love or obsess over her but she doesn't stay dead.

Sorry or the long-ish reply/rant.. xD

Oooh. OOOOOOH. The recs are getting more and more interesting! Please add more!

I'm adding three yaoi recs of my own: Carmen, Acid Flower and Double Mints (in the not-yet-scanlated bit, I think, but the killing is there).

In non-yaoi terms, I'm pretty sure there's some killing for love among the major protagonists of Kamui (an ensemble manga) and Kakan no Madonna (Cesare counts as something of a murderous psychopath, anyhow, but it can be said that he's doing a lot of the killing so that he might be with his sister, whom he loves in an incestuous way).
