To make things short, Yabuki's wife "Kashiwagi Shiho" is a epic fail wife and mother (they had a daughter), and spends much of her time viewing Nico Nico. She slept around with Nakamura Ine, and "kidnapped" the daughter away while doing so. Yabuki "begged" her to return for the sake of their daughter, but she left not too long after doing so, this time taking their daughter, his laptop and credit cards along. Shiho demanded divorce in March 2009 along with a huge portion of Yabuki's assets on grounds of personality clash, but when proof were found on her computer that it was her own fault, she demanded cash in exchange for Yabuki's right to the custody of their daughter, which Yabuki gave in.
Haruna was actually a character based on Shiho, and thus it's pretty obvious Yabuki is shoving her behind and bringing up Yui to the spotlight, which explains the awesome-ness of Yui suddenly blossoming out of the blue. The fact that Shiho has demanded more money from Yabuki due to the fact that Haruna is based off her made Yabuki cut the appearances and roles of Haruna further (yes Shiho a bitch), and ultimately end the manga prematurely.
SOoooooooooo its 100% Kashiwagi Shiho FAULT, that the manga ended that way... i wanna hit her so bad...
And as for Nakamura Ine, the famous guy in the horse mask performing music on nico, has admitted on his blog that he had extramarital relations with Kashiwagi Shiho, the wife of ToLoveru artist Yabuki Kentarou. On his blog he apologizes deeply once more to Yabuki and also to all that have been affected by this. 
All this happened in 2007 to 2009, and that explains the wtf happened after vol 13, were haruna appeared less and less. i really hope that yabuki gets over with his wife and that HE DONT KILL OF HARUNA!!

Nevertheless...I'm somewhat happy it happened if it means Yui getting more spotlight.

Yeah, this is pretty old news.
Personally, I welcome less Haruna. I've never seen her appeal.
More Mikan, Yui, and Run please.

Well I didn't know this!!! It really surprises me... Oh my goshness... such a shame... never thought RL affairs could affect someone so much.... Oh... Well at least that made Yui appear a lot more....and who doesn't love Yui... she's uber sexy... and tsun tsun tsundere hahaha

Well, a year ago I heard about it but didn't know the actual details, but it's nice to know. Not really a fan of Haruna and Lala. The only girls I care for are Yui, Momo, and Mikan.
