Ghost Hunt maybe? Not a very large harem but there are more than one potential girl introduced for the male lead.
If you want anime too, try Genji Monogatari Sennenki. I am pretty sure it's a josei show and has a main man with a harem of women.

lol on bride of the water god, read like 5 chaps and 95% of the new characters popping out are these "bishounen" guys so i wouldn't recomment it. ( i read it couse of that comment above lol)

I know the Amagami SS anime is a lot like what you're looking for, but idk about the Amagami manga series. It's not shoujo, though.

Ludwig Kakumei Possibly.
Kirai: Not exactly but he sleeps around w/ a lot of different girls at first and is really popular. But none of the other girls are really important.
Kimi Ni Todoke: Not really but his whole school loves him. The guys, the girls. It's like no one hates him. He could probably get any girl he wants and if he wanted to he could have a harem.
Love triangles w/ guys in the middle:
Crazy for You Even if another single guy does like her she doesn't really care.
Strobe Edge: Same as above.
Other than that I cant really think of any that truly fits.

so far only ludwig kankumei is kinda what im looking for.
there was a manga i forgot the name but it was exactly what im looking for.
the setting: a boy and three girls move together in the same house. the boy was the son of the housekeeper i think. and it was a shoujo.
