Spoiler (highlight to view)
See in the beginning Ichigo took Rukia's powers right? As well as having some of his own? So if he regressed back to a state where he doesn't have any abilities (regressed) being the key word. He essentially has to get his powers going again right? So maybe this time he'll start with his "own" powers whatever they may really be.

I was over at http://www.thesubwire.com/forum?thread_id=1201&page=1 68 page 169 and they were mentioning some things like how was Orihime altered, what happened to the surviving Vaizards (Grimmjow, The Afro dude who fought Chad, and are Halibel and Gin actually dead?) I'm sure someone hear had to have mentioned it before, there are still lots of questions to be answered.

It wasn't as bad as I expected. Well, if there's no hax combats then Bleach can be decent too. eyes

What i didn't get from the chapter was did the new guy had his own badge or did he steal ichigo's ?

The new guy pulled the badge out of his bag meaning that it's his own badge. At first I thought he did steal Ichigo's but you can see his bag unzipped and the badge fall out.

Somehow this chapter seemed really sad.....
So if Karin's powers are getting stronger now that Ichigo has none, do you think maybe it'll turn out to be some sort of brother/sister pair up later on?

Oh and for a moment there when I saw Yuzu I thought it was Orihime, but then I was like, "Ok no"

Guh, I agree. Just got depressed reading it, Ichigo's kind of a downer.

What else did you expect? Meeting Rukia, becoming a shinigami and everything completely changed his life, it became such a huge part in his life. To have all of that taken away, anyone in that position would feel a little down. But at least he sees the positive side. He mentions that he can go back to being a normal teenager (now a senior), thinking about future career path etc. Also all of the training and fighting hasn't gone to complete waste, since his physical body has improved ten fold.

It's only a matter of time before he somehow reclaims his shinigami powers. What I'm interested in is the manner in which he does this. Right now he seems content with just living as a normal human being. The mysterious guy is probably going to play a Shinji type role, offer him the chance to reclaim his powers similar to how Shinji offered Ichigo to help supress his hollow. Initially Ichigo may refuse and then something serious like an attack on someone close to him will probably rekindle his urge to protect the people he cares about, forcing him to reclaim his lost powers.

Just a theory.

To me Bleach would become more interesting if he learns how to control his hollow powers than regaining his shinigami ones.
Imagine how SS would respond to Ichigo fighting hollows as a hollow.
Just a thought.

Ok, so we all know that Tite has spent the past two weeks sitting around wondering what the hell he would do with the story. So, I will hold out on my judgment for a few chapters.

I'm still very interested as to what happened to everyone else. And, we didn't even see Orihime. mad

I'ma go on a Bleach Hiatus...
Maybe then I'll be able to withstand the urge to punch children whenever I read this manga.

was my reaction when I saw the news of the new chapter.

Oh well, I have read this manga since it started serialized. Might as well continue reading it.

Why do u guys keep saying Ichigo's a downer? Dude's always been like that. Add the fact that his girl(Rukia) isn't there, of course he won't be cheerful.

Anyways, lookin forward to this new arc.
And I hope Inoue don't appear anytime soon(Thought that was her in the uniform in the begining and I almost smashed my Zune screen)

Ichigo took Rukia's power at the beginning but he lost it after he was defeted by Byakuya at the beginning of the Soul Society ark. Then he got his own powers by training with Urahara

As for getting his powers back, that would be kinda boring. I hope he gets some new powers, unrelated to the shinigami.
Btw the new ark is called something about that shinigami badge, I really hope that doesn't mean that the badge would give him some kind of transformation powers dead
