where the main guy(opposite/partner) is a nice guy but sometimes is a jerk.

No crybaby protagonists! Or overtly hyper protagonists for that matter.Plus i don't want the protagonist to be a plain jane/john, that makes everyone ask, "Just what did he see in her/him?". I'd really hate that.I would even like it if it seemed as if she was a bit of an anti-hero. A character with a sense of gab would be great.

i'd would prefer it to be in a college/high school setting. But workplace setting is ok too.

Almost bordering toward slice of life or in that genre. No fantasy or horror genre.

[m]Cheese in theTrap[/m], "Boku no Koi no Hanashi Himegoto" and "Watashi ga Itemo Inakutemo " were great but they have only released a few chapters . "Kare/Kano" was ok too but it turned unrealistic as the story continued. "Bondz" by kawai touko was awesome but it was too short."Tenohira no Seiza" is good too.

i would be more interested if the girl/uke had light colored hair and the guy/seme had dark colored hair.

is this too much too ask? LOL. THANKS!

Kimi ni Todoke I only read the first 4 chapter, but it was fairly realistic.

Tricky request, since realistic romance is a very difficult thing to find in fiction (especially in the manga medium ^^).
I'd recommend Hana wa Saku ka and Zantei, Koibito for shounen-ai and Oishii Kankei for josei. I haven't read it, but maybe Cat Street for shoujo?

Thanks! I agree! a realistic romance is hard to find in manga! Zantei, koibito was great. I'm still reading kimi ni todoke and i'll start reading hana wa saku ka. They're great so far! thank you! biggrin
