I started this manga ages ago, but after a computer crash have been unable to find it.

I only got a few pages in, but it was really cute. It was about a girl who is lonely and gets picked on and has only a kitten to keep her company. The kitty sees how sad she is and turns himself into a boy to be her friend.

Can anybody help me out?

But the one I was thinking of wasn't that mature. I think it was intended for teenage girls. :3

Hm... is it shoujo? One-shot or series? Do you know any of the characters' physical characteristics?

I'm wanting to say it was a one-shot, but I could be wrong. It was a couple years ago that I was reading it.

I think the girl was about junior high age and the kitten was black. It wasn't one of those characters that could change back and forth, I think once he was human he was human for good.

All I can really remember is the girl coming home from school crying because nobody liked her, then that night the kitty turned himself into a boy and started trying to be her friend. She assumed her kitty ran away and was even sadder.

The one I'm thinking of looked to be pretty kid appropriate. That may be why I can't seem to find it. I'm probably just looking in the wrong places like going to alt.horror trying to find "Pooh's Halloween Adventure" XD

Nostalgic~ Dakishimete! Noir was one of my first manga O_O

Well anyway, I don't know what it is you're looking for either, it's definitely not tagged under 'Cat boy' nor is it tagged under 'animal transformation', but then, a lot of series aren't tagged properly. Bbbbbut if you like stories along those lines, Hanirabi! is very similar and verrrry cute You could also check out the 'animal transformation' and 'cat boy', 'bunny boy' etc. categories for similar stories.
