The world from Ai no Kusabi is pretty interesting..not really the world one would like to live in but ever since I read the novels and saw the ovas it's always interested me.

I like Tamora Pierce's world that she explores in several different series (The One in the Immortals Series as well as Protector of the Small, ect.). While that world is still underdeveloped, it shows real promise. Plus, I always loved the religion there; how their Gods can become Corporal, and that there is no disputing if the Gods are real or not; people chose to worship different Gods, but all of them are acknowledged to exist.
