Let's say Person A has his thoughts received by the world. Person A isn't aware, and though given clues that he is, he chooses to believe that no one receives his thoughts.

Let's say Person B is born after Person A dies. Person B is well-aware that he's being "heard" by the world. However, the people he discusses about this condition with keep telling him he isn't "heard". Even to the point of being called "crazy", he affirms the REAL reality he's in.

Who do you respect more: The person who lives deluded, or the person who is treated as deluded? And, why?

Anyone that stands straight with his or her
own opinion (which has a basis and has been created
by different experiences) is to be respected by me.

Haaaaaa...

Hmmm...

I'd have to say that I respect Person B more because of their perseverance and strength to stand against being called deluded.

B I suppose... I mean A is just living life as a regular person.. I suppose kind of slow as well since the clues didn't seem to reach him.. And B is standing by, and living with, his own beliefs..
The question kind of seems like. "Which do you respect more, Truman at the beginning of 'The Truman Show', or Truman at the end of 'The Truman Show'.
Though they couldn't hear his thoughts, they saw each action he took..
That's what I felt when I first read the scenario..
To those of you who don't know. "The Truman Show" is a movie starring Jim Carey.

Does this question even have a point?

Person B sounds like a badass, so I'm going with them.

what is this...election? Those two choices are just choosing the lesser of two evils.....
I would respect both. Both are so convinced by their own reality that no one else can change it.

The answer should be pretty obvious, person B. Strong character.
But...
Person A probably is happy in his own way, when Person B clearly has to struggle with people everyday. Being sucessfull in finding happiness is also something worth of our respect.

I'd like to know what made Person A make such a decision.

What if person A/B's thoughts are all BS, wouldn't it be stupid if he still insists on being heard? It's like person A isn't aware that he's schizo living in bliss, and the B is, but still wants us to believe him and not treat him as a mental patient.

Well whatever, I guess someone who stand by his or her belief deserves some credit. So B, you have my respect. Just a little though, since I don't know what your thoughts are.

well...i would respect neither. person B is already aware of the situation so why go all the way to confirm it when he himself is already aware. person A is, as stated, unaware but is given clues to another reality yet does not pursue it because he chooses to remain in his own reality.

In short, Person A chooses to remain ignorant while Person B chooses to make life harder for himself which in both cases, i cannot bring myself to respect them laugh

I don't understand... Does that mean that person A and B are both hearing voices telling them they are the chosen ones and that they should save the world yadadi yadada, and that person A chose to ignore those while person B is trying to save the world based on the message from the voices?
If that's it... my say would be they are both schizophrenic... But at least person A still has enough sanity left to realize that something is wrong with him, while person B is just long lost in his own world.

Unless we are talking about characters from the realm of manga where it really is possible they are the chosen ones...

geez, i already had a headache this morning

but i guess I'd say B b/c while ignorance is bliss, the trials of actually living are strangely attractive

I'm surprised noone's mentioned the bald guy from the first matrix yet confused

Even if he is aware.. Everyone will doubt themselves atleast a tiny bit.. Unfortunately he could never confirm it.. If everyone can hear his thoughts, then everyone will be two steps ahead of him to stop him... Too bad for B.. Atleast A gets a chance at happiness in his giant facade of a life..
You mean Morpheus huh..
