Love Story, Killed
It's quite depressing but the story is original and really good.
Also I really like the oneshots NIHEI Tsutomu wrote (and his series) but you might not like them (they're kinda "weird").
And these are quite good too:
Boiling Head
Hotel
Present

Asano Inio and Midorikawa Yuki both usually do quite good jobs with shorter formats.
On an individual basis, I'm particularly fond of "Yoakemae" and "Tokyo" from Sekai no Owari to Yoakemae.
Outside of those two, "For Those of Us Who Don't Believe in God" from Endo Hiroki Tanpenshu, as well as the standalones Witch of the Flower Forest, and Dirty Work are all very good.

NightSwan also said that she wanted to peg me, once, but I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or a threat...

Also I think this one just put a huge smile on my face: Williams
