I am looking for a series in where most (if not all) women fall for (or simply want to bed) the male character, due to the latter possessing a unique ability / quality / mindset that places him on the same level as a Playboy / Alpha male in terms of status or appeal to the opposite sex.

That is despite not having much else going for him (though he is otherwise a normal person rather than weak), preferably it has to be non-fantasy (e.g. magic, etc).

I have looked through the links, though I was after something a bit more action orientated and grown up / seinen-ish.

When it comes to his (high) value to the opposite sex, it would either be something along the lines of an event or situation happening which allows the main character to reveal his hidden talents / qualities / special abilities (or something that he was simply born with), such as:

- Kintaro Oe from Golden Boy, who is more or a less a crouching moron hidden badass due to his many talents.

- Takashi Komuro / Kohta Hirano (especially the latter) from Highschool of the Dead, when the zombie apocalypse reveals their skills in leadership / marksmanship respectively.

- Or any other character with special abilities, along the lines of manga such as Get Backers, The Breaker and Tenjou Tenge.

there are also the anime and manga version.
