Anatolia Story - Gives up her life for her guy, basically.
Replay - In my opinion the main girl pretty much gives up her life for the guy.
Double Arts - Guy has to basically give up his freedom to keep his love alive.
Wanted - Girl gives up her past style of life to be a pirate with the one she loves.
Miriam - Don't know if this really counts... guy sort of gives up his life as an outlaw to protect the people he loves (his girl included).
Blood+ - Gives up her past life to protect the people she loves.
I don't know if these are 100% what you're looking for, but they're the only ones I could think up

Those are okay suggestions, but I was thinking of something more along the lines of the movie "City of Angels" with Nicholas Cage, where he gives up being an angel and becomes human to be with the chick hes in love with.
