not a very scary movie at all
maybe the scary parts was that parents dont seem to care that a 6-7year old child have to take care of himself coz mom and dad are too busy playing work...that they can ditch whenever they feel like it

and it is full of weird scenes that take you out of the movie like Draining a well with 2 plastic buckets
i dont know the english word for it but they are in oother words below ground water level
they would need pumps to drain it and even then it would constantly refill
it is just so dumb
and why have the obvious frail woman to bring the water up
why not do as the GTO lady did when she got into the well in the first part

I usual don´t bring up anime as there isn´t much to be said but I will now as I consider Ghost in the Shell (2015) to be the best animated film of the year. It won´t make a lick of sense though if you haven´t seen the entire Arise OVA as it closes that arc. The somewhat nihilistic narrative about the obsolescence of human augmentation further reminded me of Deus Ex 3 and the production team needs to be kept together for follow-ups.
No more Psycho-Pass movies though IG. What an overproduced piece of nothing...

Starz also gave me some sugar when they brought back another fan favorite with Ash vs. Evil Dead. The continuity may have turned into a legal nightmare but the man behind the groovy is back! Evil Dead (2013) is also strongly recommended but for hardcore horror hounds only as it redefined the definition of suffering and originally got an NC-17 for violence when it was first submitted. It even has a new take on the tree rape scene.
Isn´t fascinating how Mr. Spiderman started his career but Mr. Hobbit began his cinematic life as a bad boy too. (The Evil Dead musical is also a delight.)

Crimson Peak is a movie that I have seen last week
My friend wanted to see it because she said it is going to be scary,
But well it wasn't scary for me it was a bit gore and a bit thrill...The story revolve around a woman named Edith who wants to be a writer, and the word crimson peak....not going to spoil the story but it was to me full of plot twist, there are ghost in the story but believe me the humans are more scarier in the story....there are a bit of plot hole but it is a story you can watch till the end if you dont hate watching gore events.....

I gave my students an assignment where they had to choose one actor/actress and pick two of his or her movies to watch for the exam, and we would discuss about them together. So while they were sending in the lists, I picked a few to watch, even though I watched most of the ones they suggested.
The First Time - The purest, most simplest, no drama, teenage awkward love you can get. I do highly recommend it for whoever is tired of all those cheesy, dramatic, over-the-top, stupid romantic movies. It's nothing really spectacular, and nothing too special about it, but I love the simplicity and the truthfulness that it portrays of how two high-school kids unknowingly fall for each other in a matter of few days. Though, one has a boyfriend, and the other one is initially in love with another girl, they still naturally bond.

Ip Man 1 - I've been meaning to watch any of the Ip Man movies for a very long time. So I got a chance to watch the first part of Ip Man yesterday, that has Donnie Yen as the main actor, and it's really wonderful. If you're a fan of martial arts, like I am, then you will like it for sure. It's not one of those typical fight, fight, and more fight action-packed movies, but it shows depth and understanding of the artistry that is Wing Chun Kung-Fu. Donnie Yen really gives life to Ip Master with his slick moves and how he carries himself. I've practiced Kung-Fu myself, so it was amazing to witness again the practices and teachings of your master.

Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation - It's Mission Impossible... If you've seen the previous four then you know what to expect. Not a bad movie (not great either) and the gadgets gets cooler every time. (I like the magazine laptop)

The Man From U.N.C.L.E. - I liked Henry Cavill as Solo. The movie itself was quite enjoyable as well.

A week ago, I watched "Call Girl of Cthulhu"

It was okay. I cringed at some parts. It was just hard to watch.

My boyfriend and I have been watching Disney movies. I didn't grow up with Disney movies so my boyfriend wanted to watch them with me.

So far we've watched The Lion King, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and Sleeping Beauty. They're pretty good.

I couldn't stand watching it, it succeeded at making me uncomfortable (not in a good way of course)
But i wanted to know the ending so bad ... so yeah

The original Mad Max. I know that it's a cult classic, but... WHY?

It wasn't the last I saw, but I need to add that Sicario was awesome.

@hkanz The first Mad Max certainly aged but is very noteworthy for a no-budget production and it truly kick started the Ozploitation genre. The followup is also one of the most influential movies of all time.

Lost Soul: The Doomed Journey of Richard Stanley is another retrospective documentary about a legendary (and abysmal) movie and is as crazy as stories get. My favorite part were the stories of the drug induced orgies of the animal people extras and the original director´s journey into near insanity towards the end. What a trip!

The Hunger Games should stayed a duology of books/films and the notion of dividing the last (and weakest) book in 2 needs to stop as Mockingjay managed to get even more bland.

I watched all of Jessica Johnes within 24 hours of release and it is the B+ to Daredevil´s A-. 10 episodes would have been enough though and the lack of the word "fuck" or smoking is noticeable to readers of the comic but the shows is edgier than expected.
How many shows feature a bed braking scene of anal sex within the first episode after all?
The shows has a bigger focus on rape than the comic despite less such victims present and Jessica´s related backstory was changed a bit too. The show runner´s decision to never actually show sexual violence is further a good call (you see some in the comic) due to the the over reliance of such nonsense on current US TV. My biggest problem is how aggressively non-superhero the shows is despite strong tie-ins to the Netflix Marvel universe as the comic lived of it´s contrast of Marvel glamor and noir grit.
More Luke Cage would have been better too and i assume that his and Jessica´s show will be merged after their introductory season.

Isn´t it lastly crazy how sexually explicit American TV managed to get in the last 10 years?
I can´t complain as i am into The Affair, Masters of Sex, The Knick, Spartacus and so on and 97´s Oz should still be the most explicit among them. Next year´s West World is set to break it´s record (HBO cast android sex tables ) but how much deeper can that rabbit hole go till i end up watching straight up porn.
