yep very funny, just hilarious.....

Shonen Junai Gumi is an older version of GTO The Early Years!
Shonen Junai Gumi was finished in 31 takabons!
GTO The Early Years was going to finish the story in 15 volumes, but only 10 vol. were released due to licence issues!

I'm currently at vol. 11 from Shonen Junai Gumi, with which volume should i continue when ready GTO the Early Years?
Is my quesiton clear? and if you don't know the difference between Shounan Junai Gumi and GTO: The Early years than don't answer

Your question is very clear to me. I had already invested in GTO: The Early Years, but then the series that was supposed to be 15 volumes got cancelled at 10; though, it seems you already know that little fact.

Volume 5 of The Early Years ends with chapter 89, so my guess is that you pick up volume 6. Lucky enough for you, it can be easily purchased. I also believe that volumes 8, 9, and 10 can still be purchased new from some online stores. They're not hard to find.

I actually came across this site while looking for info on future release dates for the series. I had heard that Kodansha was going to put out a 23 volume edition in the near future(?).

Best of luck.

smooker_zorro, where did you find vol. 11 of Shounan junai gumi? The scanlation groups had stopped at vol. 10 and then picked up at vol. 13 and then vol. 17... and I couldn't find any of the missing volumes for sale in English either. Any idea about where I could find them? Thanks! biggrin
