Basically something popular or known that alot of people read or like and has alot of chapters or volumes. Must have action. Lots of boys preferable, unless the girl in the story is pretty cool/chill (and not whiny or annoying.) NO echi or hentai or lotsa boobs everywhere lol I am a girl that doesn't like that stuff. No shoujo ai but i don't care if it's shounen ai. Romance is okay- I don't like it, but i don't mind if it's more of a subplot romance. Would like that the manga already has many chapters.
Some that I have read/reading are:
07-Ghost
Bakuman
Beelzebub (A favorite!)
D.Gray-man (A favorite!)
Ilegenes (A favorite! But not really known)
Kamui
Katekyo Hitman Reborn (A favorite!)
Kuroshitsuji
Monochrome Factor
Mother Keeper
Nabari no Ou
Natsume Yuujinchou (A favorite!)
Noblesse (A favorite!)
Nurarihyon no Mago
Psyren
The Breaker (A favorite! The New Waves also)
Veritas (was okay..)
Karate Shoukoushi Kohinata Minoru
Holyland
Ao no Futsumashi
Kuroko no Basuke
S. I. D.
Skip Beat! Is the only shoujo/romance I can handle. The action is kinda in the acting part, so you can apply "action" not just to fighting (like Bakuman).

The list is really long, and there's alot more but I don't want to go any longer. I've read so much manga that I can't find anything good, which makes me pretty depressed hahaa. So if you have any suggestions, I'd reaalllyy appreciate it!! smile Umm I've dropped Naruto and Bleach but I might watch Bleach. I've heard of Fairy Tale but it seems similair to One Piece, which I don't like. (Tell me if it's different? ><)

Hopefully you can generally get the idea of what I like! Thanks so much again!!! biggrin <3

Full Metal Alchemist I haven't read this, but you probably have.

Pandora Hearts very interesting epic filled with magic and mystery and battles etc. likeable characters.

Rurouni Kenshin a classic shounen. read the manga before you watch the anime. One of my all-time favorites. 200+ chapters.

Fairy Tail I really like this one. The characters are a lot of fun. sorry, the girls do have big boobs, but i've managed to ignore it because i really like the plot otherwise (i'm a girl too).

Inuyasha I love this one! I think it's one every manga fan should read. Main character is a girl, but none of the girls' boobs are humongous and spilling all over the place in this one.

Loveless Shounen-Ai. Pretty good, as far as plot lines go. I think it's up with Monochrome Factor and Nabari No Ou. Not sure how many chapters this one has, though. But it is ongoing, so it could end up having a lot.

1/2 Prince main character is a girl, but most of it takes place in a virtual world, where she's a guy. Some romance, but a lot of fighting.

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles talk about EPIC. And interesting too, especially after a certain part. It's by clamp. There are four main characters, and three of them are guys.

Until Death Do Us Part big strong blind guy of questionable morals goes around beating the crap out of people and protecting this very young girl. Again, I don't know how many chapters this one has (I've never finished it). I don't even know if it's complete or not.

Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru A personal favorite. I just really love the main character. Not a ton of chapters so far, but definitely a good deal more to come.

Togainu No Chi Again, not many chapters so far, but ongoing. set in the future i think, wih a lot of battles to the death.

I don't suppose you're interested in Naruto, Bleach, or One Piece? (These got a little tedious for me after awhile)

Personally i think One Piece is better than Naruto and Bleach so you can try it, but its 600+ chapters.
You can also try GTO.

The problem here is that you want popular manga / anime; but those are the ones that everyone knows about (so you must have read them as well). I'm going to suggest some that don't have a huge fan following - but which I still think are pretty good.

Banana Fish , Koori no Mamono no Monogatari , Silver Diamond , Karneval , +C: Sword and Cornett

Monster , Billy Bat , 20th Century Boys , Pluto - These are more 'thriller' than 'action' - but they have excellent plots and are very interesting (and quite popular as well).

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - You might not like the art, but the story is rather original (albeit a bit weird) - so you should give it a chance.

Yakumo Tatsu - Only a little bit of action in this one...

Kugutsu , Terra e... , X , RG Veda , Kaze no Tani no Nausicaä , Shin Angyo Onshi , Leviathan , Tegami Bachi , Shinsengumi Imon Peace Maker , Yasha , Jormungand , Sidooh

Dolls , Switch , Ransetsuki , Are You Alice? - They aren't popular at all, but they're still okay stories. Dolls is better than Switch, imo.

Hunter x Hunter , Vagabond - These might be too long for you, though.

If you don't mind sports themes, you must try One Outs. It's really awesome - but I have to warn you that the baseball is only part of the plot. There are lots of other elements to it as well, making it the most original sports manga I've seen.

I think you might also like the anime of Get Backers; but only the anime. The manga is ecchi, so you won't want to read that. The plot of the manga is way better, of course - but if you can't stand ecchi, just watch the anime - it's a lot of fun.

I second 1/2 Prince, fits well~ There's also a light novel, if you're interested. I'd suggest The Legend of Sun Knight, but there aren't many chapters out. >>;

One Piece and Fairy Tale...Well, the mangaka of Fairytale learned from the mangaka of One Piece, so the art style is very similar. Other than that...It's less random-ish than One Piece in terms of creativity, and has more of a plot settled out. I haven't read too far into Fairy Tale, so I can't elaborate more than that.

Kokou no Hito is seinen, if that's fine. It has some sexual-ish stuff, but it's mature content all around, so it's not like it overly focuses on it.

I second Hunter x Hunter.

Dragonball is also really good if you've never read the manga.
